yeah those are allowed
I have a PS3 controller that has the same exact layout as an Xbox 360 controller, it is also wired with a usb attachment, it is not wireless, so it should be allowed right?
Probably yes. As long as it doesn’t have the potential to mess up another match that you’re not playing. But if it’s wired only I don’t see that happening.
link to the product or post a picture please!
yeah looks fine.
Cool, thanks Wiz!
couldn’t you just have people restart their controller after their match?
I’m talking about the little restart button in the back, just in case you’re wondering
Ok guys,
It seems either ppl don’t get what Mr. Wizard is saying or you guys have never been to a tournament ever before.
WIRELESS BLUETOOTH PS3 CONTROLLERS CAUSES ALOT OF HEADACHES AND CAN RUIN A MATCH WITH ALOT INVOLVED.
If you want to use a ps3 controller, then your best option is to get a ps2 controller and get a ps2 to ps3 converter. The best ones out there are InPin (easy to find) or Pelican (which are hard to find).
Stop complaining and stop trying to give the SRK admins your ideas or suggestions to resolve this b/c none of them will work nor will they try them out.

When you turn the controller back on to play your next match, it’s still synced to the old PS3, creating a window of time between the time you turn your controoler on and the time you sync to the next PS3 where you can screw up a match in progress (and this has actually happened at past tournaments).
Ponder -
are controllers that are able to block in both directions at the same time
(i.e Ps3 pads , Modded T.E. sticks , Hitbox ) banned in EVO??
god i hope so…
The only game that comes into question with this is Marvel 3 (Which allows any controller to block both ways.)
Anything that uses a programmable input entry (making a shoryuken - 1 button input is not allowed. If you wish to mod you stick to allow blocking in both direcions, that would be allowed.
Its unfortunate that Capcom did not patch this loophole, but this situation is completely unenforcable.
Ok so, ps2 to ps3 converters are the only option for DS3 players to actually be able to participate at a confortable level. Sony patched the PS3 a while back (almost a year) so that ps2-ps3 converters currently do not work. Are there any lag free converters that still currently work?
To clarify, these are not affected by the patch that Sony put out and are still compatible?
Are there any good xbox to ps3 converters?
I just used mine yesterday
Thanks for confirming that they still function.
