**Oh and concerning the DS PCB’s. Has anyone already put a Dual Shock PCB in their stick yet or does anyone know of a site that would give me a good idea of how to put a DS PCB in a stick like this? ** I want this thing to work with my Xbox so I can play SF AC online and play whatever random Xbox fighters I have.

Hey, you should add me to your friends list on XBL. we could link up, just for the purpose of testing these things out.
LOL. What’s the point if the stick doesn’t work with the converter? I’ll add you to my list and all that but you’ll be playing against me on my modded Pelican. Oh and are you using the Red Octane on Xbox Live? Unless you’ve already modded a DS PCB in there I would hope not cuz that would mean I have wasted 40 bux. I mean…I might as well learn how to put a good PCB in a stick but still…
No, I’m using the standard pad, but I figured if I were going to test things out, I would rather do it on Live with someone who knows I’m not playing seriously, just testing my controllers.
Thanks to everyone in this thread, answering all of the little questions so I wouldn’t have to ask them. I’m really looking forward to that guide Isabella . I’ve been tossing around the idea of getting an Agetec Dreamcast stick (with perhaps a PS2 converter) but the idea of custom-building a Sanwa stick for this kind of price is more appealing.
I’m not sure if this has been covered here (or elsewhere), but what is the exact PS2-Stick button layout on the RO? I’m thinking this whole deal sounds great, but if there’s any sort of way to get this stick to work on a DC despite the inherent difficulty of PSX/2-DC conversion then I would be positively giddy.
I ordered two of these. I’ve got problems with one of them. One of buttons doesn’t work at all and some of the other buttons are in “rapid-fire” mode. I had sent an RMA for it, but wondered if maybe there was an easy fix for it?
The one button should be easy to fix. It is either a loose quick connect, a badly soldered ground, or a loose wire from the PCB. If you open it up and take a picture of the bottom of the button and the PCB, we should be able to tell.
I have no clue about the rapid fire problem. I’m guessing that when you fix the one button, it will fix all of the problems.
well, thanks to Iseelba’s great service all around, i got my sanwa stick earlier today and have it in…its GREAT. Now, my only problem is with the box, the plexi near the bottom is irritating my wrists. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks.
Can someone give me an idea of everything im going to need to do to this stick to put in happ comp stick and buttons? I saw the stuff about adding spacers but im wondering if there was anything else i dont kow about. Already ordered the stick so will try and work on it whenever it gets here. Also ill be using this hopefully for mvc2 and sc2. Thanks
I just finished up one of my mods. I also have the stick with the bat-top sanwa installed, although it doesn’t have any guts in it yet. Not sure if I will keep the black bat-top in there, it sits pretty low and doesn’t feel comfortable. I put the washer right under the bat top so it would sit a little higher, but it doesn’t help much, this stick should probably be top-mounted.
My red and black one works great with my Playstation 1 games, but thats about it. hopefully I can put an X-box PCB in it soon. My mods in it were really easy- I took a stick I got from Iseelba, along with some comp buttons, and I did the
mounting plate switch. I put a circular restrictor I got from Spiffy’s ebay auction reference in my stick. I didn’t bother any of the original PCB or switches, I used all the original RO switches without detaching any wires. It was a pretty easy mod, maybe if I had a better x-box adapter I would be happy with it as it is. I have an ‘x-joy box’ adapter, and it isn’t so great. I’d rather have an xbox PCB in it.
Here are some pictures:
yeah my brother bought me that cd. I used to have it on cassette, but I wore it out after listening to it for 6 years. hah.
I found a way to get a happ to sit a LITTLE bit better in a RO case. you have to do a little bit of woodwork- I just had a friend use this router thing to make the bottom thinner, then I drilled some holes for mounting. I counter-sinked the holes on top, and I’m using hexagonal (allen wrench) holed long skateboard hardware to bolt the stick in place. Looks kind of ghetto, but when I get the printed lexan cover in it, it should cover it up. I’m still gonna use spacers for the bottom.
That is straight from their help page under payment options.
I’m not an expert at painting but personally I think you would want to peel it off first. Then maybe use some wood putty along the edges to smooth in the cracks and what not. Sand down the putty and then put on a couple coats of primer and then sand again after each coat.
Yeah, when purchasing stuff on the internet it’s pretty much manditory to have a credit card handy. Without a credit card it’s hard to buy anything on da net.
Oh and Spiffy…the sticks should have been sent out an hour ago. Just so you know, I only sent two sticks. One of the recently purchased ones and the earlier purchased one that I modded with the JLW Sanwa. I included pushbuttons and the extra Sanwa stick to mod in the newly purchased stick. I did not include any PCB’s so you’ll have to purchase some at GameStop and I’ll pay you via PayPal. Just remind me by PM. Oh and if you could make the sticks slightly taller by routing out some wood that would be great as well. Thanks.
I need some help please. I installed a sanwa joystick from is Iseelba, but when i go to play, i only get movement from pressing the joystick down not left right and up. The pushbuttons work fine also, so i was wondering maby it’s the wiring orientation. Can some one tell me the exact way to connect the quick disconnects to the joystick please.
