Yeah, I was trying to see if I could find a way around it. Was trying to ship to a friend who is currently in Europe and it showed it would of cost just around $10 during the estimate calculator, so was hoping I could send him these but yeah, no luck. Still a cool deal for the 360 fighting game fans out there lookin for something simple.
Also note, WWE All-Stars still the best WWE Wrestling game in like the past 10 years or more.
Just picked up a wired official 360 controller for £1 at my local Christmas flea market. Missing the USB bit after the breakaway, but just tested it with another one and it’s 100% fine. Tis the season!
I picked up the 150 xb1 te2 from that Amazon flash sale , have an existing piece of artwork i had accidentally ordered for a te2 which I didn’t mind since I knew I would pick one up eventually.
I have the artwork for the inserts but i need to get clear buttons still.
Already installed the barrier strip inside in prep for the ps4 dual mod, likely do that next weekend.
Beware that the xbone TE2 pcb isn’t common ground, meaning dual mods aren’t remotely straightforward. Easiest fix if you want to go forward with the mod would be to get a Phreakmods TE2 crossbone.
Every time I’m home around Christmas, my dad has another crate of my old junk (mostly old college notes) that he wants cleared out of the attic.
This time round, the old Junk included Last Bronx and a black-label copy of Melee
The games are straight ROMs. They come packaged with an emulator. I “installed” all the games, went into the folders and pulled one NeoGeo BIOS ZIP and each game ZIPs and threw them into MAME and it works. Uninstalled the rest of the junk afterward.
Besides the Steam-able games, I’ve not really played them since. They’re simply unplayable, due to the godawful emulator they’re baked into, the fixed controls and the poor controller support.
I seriously apologise if anyone bought based on my initial post It was unfathomable that they’d be this bad.
The ROMs can apparently be extracted from the install files and used with emulators of your choice. I picked up the bundle myself and haven’t tried it yet, but the specific issue was discussed in the NeoGAF thread about the bundle.
Mortal Kombat X Fight Pads on sale at Gamestop (PS4 and Xbone) and Amazon (PS4) for $29.99. Don’t know how easy or hard they are to padhack (or how good they are in general), but good for the week at least for Gamestop.
Kind of got owned by shipping but I also had it shipped EMS by a community member on another forum, ended up being $145 shipped (that $145 also including w/e the shipping was to him in Japan).
Need to figure out the pinout and actually get my female da15 connector to fit, I can’t get the top row pins in, it looks like it should match up. I’m gonna try sanding down the metal around the da15 connector to see if that’s the issue.
Its the same DEEP Socket DA 15 connector the Famicom uses for its expansion port and on Neo Geo controller ports.
You might have to dig up a replacement Neo Geo controller cable or controller cable extension.
Yeah I just figured that out after taking apart a da15 connector and finding out it wasn’t the housing that was causing the issue, the connector just wasn’t deep enough. I’ll buy a neogeo extension cable.
