^I’ve got two of those converters as well, George. I was considering asking someone on SRK to take mine apart and see if they could mod the converter - that way I could use any of my PS2 sticks without needing to swap the R2/L1 signal lines.
You can’t really mod the converter. The way it interprets signals from the PS2 pad is programmed in the controller chip of the converter. So unless someone can pull the program from the chip (which would likely require desoldering the chip from the board, connecting it to a programmer, and connecting that to a PC), reprogram it, and place it back in, you’re out of luck.

I’ve got enough sticks that I can leave one as a Saturn standalone until I feel like opening it up again… No big deal for me!
I’m just glad the pad converter for this exists! It was great playing Nightwarriors on the Saturn with a modded T5 stick.
Now I have to get a new battery for the Saturn’s internal memory… It died sometime after the last time I played with it over a year ago!

I don’t know if this if a “good find” but a recent purchase I just got was a TE stick for 99 bucks on amazon. Should arrive tuesday.
Been running an SE stick with JLF and PS14KN buttons but I really wanna see what the hype about is. 
Got a 2nd TE for $85 with help from my wife’s work’s classified ads. Claimed to be used for 1 hour only… Looks new.
the guy relisted it and refused to sell it at those prices. the te’s are 1,200 and the se’s are 500 right now
Picked up a Dedicated R-Type 1987 Arcade Cabinet. Seller said the screen flickers… got a Cap Kit on the way… All for 100$ not even one scratch on the glass!

The Chun Li controller seems unopened, and the Ken one seems brand spaking new. Both still have the Udon comic books in them as well.

Got another TE for $70. Yay wife!
Well, the TE is the best price/performance right now I think.
TE was quite steep at 95 but it’s barely been used and the box only has a few dings. I’ve wanted one a good few years so I bit the bullet and now I own one. Couldn’t be happier, and I don’t even need to mod it one bit.
6 buttons > 8 buttons.
