Realistic changes that can save SFxT?

Rename gems Chaos Emeralds, add Super form.

But timer freeze, working 360 pad, pandora doing something is all good.

Jamp I think they should have balanced grey/red health like they did in Tag2…more ways to use and take it away as it is a problem. remember when people said it was stupid because all it took was to KO one character…now they are complaining about time outs? there is no happy medium.

however i dont think adding another system mechanic at this time will help too much(although Tag Assault is pretty awesome) I say this, Like Tag2, if you do a tag cancel(Tag assault or any move when your partner attacks your opponent) the attack your partner does to your opponent get rids of the “previous” grey health marker and resets it to a much small portion. This will in term boost the effectiveness of Boost and Tag Cancel combos and cut the overall duration of a match, without having to add another system mechanic. I think it sounds fair…but i can easily see it being really strong sadly…so they would have to balance it in some way to make it fair.

To a point. But also don’t forget the metagame is changed by how fast meter charges, and EX AA’s are very powerful, and some characters can combo off their EX AA’s. Also alpha counters are severely underused atm, and some of those can convert in to full combos as well. See, you actually can convert to a clean 400 dmg combo on some characters with one of these methods, but it takes meter to do. Once people adapt to these changes the metagame will likely shift.

I’d say it’s more encouraged to cross up, rather than normal jump ins, at this point, since those are harder for some characters (mostly tekken chars) to handle, but most characters actually have something to handle those as well that players have not adapt to yet. For example mist step is a get out of cross up free card, and they were a nightmare to handle on Nina until I started using blonde bomber to gtfo of there.

People just got too used to how dangerous it was to jump in SF4 due to AA’s being so strong and convinced themselves that it’s normal for all fighting games, when honestly SF4 was one of the most dangerous games to jump in out there.

Increase the time limit

I just though there could be more creative ways from the game to use grey health…thats about it…you can take it how you want, with the advent of lifeforce and harmonize lv.2 and 3 gems and EX versions to boot on the horizon, i don’t really have a problem with it…can’t forget about Rage Gems either(im not trolling either).

I can do you one better. The game has only been out 2 weeks, avoid the fucking general SFxT forums like the plague. These guys will disappear in a month or so and so will all their whinging topics.

We all enter these topics just to laugh at the braindead OP and the braindead people taking the OP seriously. Crying about a game they really know utterly nothing about at this point, that’s just the classy post-SF4 SRK tradition now ;D

Anyway, lets get back to all the real solutions we need to find and save this floundering Capcom title. One can only hope it can be saved in time for EVO, wouldn’t want to have to replace it with Blazblue. =/

Do the people who are complaining about timeouts actually think that they are good at the game? I am not trolling.

I timeout because I don’t understand the matchups, don’t understand my own characters, and have terrible execution.

but letting them cry… lets them get their way when capcom patches which is bullshit. SCV is officially a drink coaster for me now, defense system completely trashed cuz of the patch. this shit seriously is detrimental to the health of the FGC no joke if the mods and admins dont start infracting and locking nerf/buff/glitchfix want threads all of our games are gonna get ridiculous first month patches and get whittled down to the simplicity of street fighter one. this should be policy on ALL fighting game forums actually.

all threads relating to BUFF X or NERF Y or PATCH GLITCH Z this early in the game are NOTHING but harmful to the development of the metagame and cause flaming and trolling back and forth between super scrubs that refuse to learn and people who actually know how to play a damn FG - which is a complete waste of time/resource - those threads should be locked. instead of bitching about how you hate a tactic and wish it didnt exist learn to how to get around it.

anyone with any real logic thats a mod should be locking these garbz threads on the instant of posting them.

and you should get infracted for talking about nerfs and buffs in other threads. its pointless. just get better at the game. dont ruin it for everyone else.

SCV’s defense system went to total shit because of the patch they had and that game has barely been out longer than SFxT.

I’m absolutely dreadful at footsies but really wanting to improve and working hard at it now. Consequently I’m a little confused as to why people are asking for faster walk speed for footsie purposes. Wouldn’t better walk speed be good only for whiff punishing, and if so, can’t that be accomplished now with better spacing? Or is the faster walk speed idea meant to give characters with poor ranged normals a better chance at footsies themselves?

Release all the DLC right now
Timer freeze on supers
Remove Pandora and Gems
Remove Boost Combo/Cross Rush/whatever
Add character specific movelisted chains for SF cast
Tag off the ground for two (three?) bars
Alpha counter out of hitstun for two (three?) bars

(Only serious about the first two, I’ll still play the game as is if the first one happens)

its there excuse to cry that if there char could walk 100 miles per hour there hiechi would be the op beast they dream of…or some other hard hitting beast char that walks slow for a reason to give them a negative edge , to try and balance them out, they all want there char to be Wesker/kazuya…its life.Im sure there are kazuya players cryin they dont also have a full screen projectile

timer should not be extended or frozen, just if you get hit with a super in the last 10 seconds you take in the face …the non happy endings,will steal the hype from tourney matchs or living room/ garage matchs. I have only had it happen to me once where i got shafted, also have lived when i fucked up and won and jumped into a super and i stole someones win

Just play the game, throw the cpu on Hardest if you don’t wanna go online or don’t have people to play with. Still fun either way.
