i dont know where to ask this one but hell im gonna ask it here…
i can do the two mk tackles on the shotos fairly consistent. i know that the two mk tackles for the twins are a lot harder.
given the two premises, heres my two questions?
do the timing of the execution for the first mk tackle for both situations (the shotos and the twins) the same or different? eg. do i need to do the first tackle for the twins earlier?
do the timing of the execution for the 2nd tackle for both situations also different? if not, in which situation should the tackle be done earlier or later?
since i can do the 2 tackles on the shotos fairly consistent, maybe i can tweak some timing issues so i can do for the twins…
i dont know… i can do 2 mk tackles on twins, but just sometimes… i think i do it with the same timing i use on shotos… wtf i know… someday ill get it right…
Tackle Tackle on twins must be done practically perfect, i.e. execute both tackles as earliest possible. Basically that simple, but actually hard to do (consistently). Timing on shotos is a lot more lenient, meaning you don’t always have to time your tackles as precisely as if you were doing them on twins for example.
I have a question and I’m sorry if it’s already been posted before:
I’ve seen certain Urien players, while in crouching position, dash up to the opponent and do a LP-Headbutt. Once the opponent stands, they dash up to them and do another LP-Headbutt.
I’ve tried this before but I’ve never been able to pull off the Headbutt. What am I doing wrong? Is there some type of restriction on how long you can sit in the DB charging position? I have absolutely no problem performing unblockables, my timing and partioning is correct but I can’t seem to pull off that particular technique.
when they quick roll(is that the correct term), i think you need to dash twice…
if they do not then you have ample time to partition a headbutt after one dash…
now for my question, how do you actually parry an aegis in an unblockable situation? consequently, how do you mess up your opponent when he down parries your aegis?
Thanks for the guide Emphy, I can finally do that damn partition setup, it’s actually really easy, it just looks scary. You should come down to Lyle’s next time the MGL guys come here so I can try it on you.
You’ve mentioned that you can perform partition setups, so I’m kind of baffled why you can’t figure out this headbutt partition setup. So all you’re saying is that after the opponent gets hit with the first headbutt, they quickstand and Urien does a dash headbutt? Just start charging right after the first headbutt then again during the dash.
When parrying out of UB’s, you always parry toward Urien.
For your second question, I’m assuming you’re talking about a midscreen setup. Sometimes when you attack when they are in Aegis (with f+forward/cr. short/whatever, which is timed with the guard break) you could attack too early and hit them out of Aegis. So hopefully you set it up right that it didn’t hit them out (and they don’t parry that attack/the rest of Aegis). Or something that pretty much always works is just throwing them.
i have a great question…
well i am a necro player …i know necro can escape from weak up aegis and corner and midscreen urien’s unbloqueable with a weak up reversal flying viper …
how urien can punish this move ??
excuse me english
They don’t go freestyle like messatsu Yarou nor look for crazy hard setups like RX, but they partition a lot. Urien NEEDS at least some partitioning skills to compete at top level.
sure… you can play urien and not use partitions… but those are a big part of your urien´s play… anyway… in my opinion its the best thing if you play urien, its fun to use it and shows that you got some skill…
if exists is for some reason… enjoy it
you cannot be called a real urien if cant do the charge partitionings… the 3 u mentions knows how to paritition… watch kyushu taikai for ushi, he did the middle aegis dash headbut, i saw senaka partitions in some ranbat i dont remeber the date but he do the corner launcher (cr,hp) tackle, tackle, headbut, and pierre can do the mid aegis dash headbut, he just use hes aegis most of the time after the tackle to corner his oppenents… but the complete urien player is RX not pierre.
