Oh my God, this is the news I’ve been waiting for all week! I’d turn on my computer every morning, go onto this section, look for any news about the patch, then close my browser with a sad face.
I’ve been dying to play the damn game online so bad because I really like it but my friends aren’t into it (they’re a bunch of SF IV noobs) and the online just frustrates me so much.
I’ve been trying to play online like a couple times a day (I can’t help it) just hoping for that one perfect non-laggy match even though I know I’ll never get it, lol. I’m pumped about this update now if it’s going to be on par with SF IV.
Not to discredit you, but Golden Week wouldn’t have any impact on their schedule… because Golden Week is in Late April/early May.
They MAY be talking about Obon season, but that’s not a holiday per se, and it’s not on a fixed schedule… some people take it in the middle of August, some at the end of the month, some in September.
SF4-caliber is more than playable. I poured hours and hours into that game online and was satisfied with my connections probably 80% of the time. This is great news…
And with a playable netcode, we can really start rolling with the clan and start tearing shit up
Yeah, I just saw golden week on FB. Reno, you live in Japan so you know better than me. He specifically said they had some kind of days off for a holiday and that they convinced them to get the patch out even if they have to work. He said it was a HUGE improvement (in capitals in his message) This is as credible a person I would`ve wanted to hear this from so Im convinced a hundred percent. We are in good shape. Im writing this from my phone so sorry if this is a wall of txt…
I still don’t get, I had more lagless matches in SFIV than I did in HDR… heck even most of my red connection fights were still tolerable, and while BB has the best netcode it’s still completely capable of lag… I had some lag matches in BB before and it’s like your playing “Red light, Yellow light, Green light, GO!!!” in a swimming pool with input lag
Wow, you’re right. I’ve just played about 12 laggy games online and when I went back to training mode to practice some more, I was like, “Whoa, what the…why’s the game in hyper speed all of a sudden? This is too fast!” Then I realized that it was just the online mode that was messing with my head, lol. It made me not want to play online ever again.
There were some non-laggy matches I’ve had in ranked though. It was so smooth that I was actually able to do combos! I was surprised 'cause most of my games were so laggy that they were just unplayable. I just hope this new patch makes more games at least smoother like those non-laggy matches I had or hopefully even better.
Well, you see, it’s like being really hungry, and not expecting to have dinner. Then someone shows up with a meal for you and you get excited, only to realize they’re offering you a fat steaming turd.
cuz is not, that netcode is garbage compared to BB or SFHDR, im telling you, as i said all my matches are always from regular to lagfest on sf4, and when i fight the same people on BB or HDR i dont have any problems, heck, i play with people on europe south america, and japan perfectly, my matches with people on usa run so smothly as if the person is right at my side on BB and SFHDR, yet i can barely play a descent match on sf4, the major part of the time i have inputlag or worse lag, only cuz you like sf4 you dont have to be dellusional, sf4’s netcode is not good, it has many flaws that is hilarious that people actually think that is the best on the market
yeah right, then explain me why the difference is so noticeable, when i play a friend in canada on sf4 with inputlag everywhere compared when i play the same person on BB, smothly and perfectly, also the amount of time that i have to expent to find a person, with the shitty message poping always of unable to connect, yeah right, sf4’s netcode is solid
