From my post on Neogaf. (Not the latest Karin build, so a few changes I bet):
Rashid stuff:
He definitley seem like he is built to frame trap, and land crush counters.
His crush counters are his st.hp which is a quick cancelable chop that causes massive hit stun, and his st.hk which is a backflip hop that goes over lows and causes the opponent to fly up in to the air, where you can follow up with uppercut or a sweep etc.
He does seem to struggle against characters with good normals, as he doesn’t have an eas y way to start momentum. His forward +mp is a forward moving 2 hitting slash, but it leaves him at slightly negative. On block you will get stuffed you try to challenge the opponent’s jab with our own. First of the 2 hits are cancelable. On hit, you can not combo or link out of the second hit, but now they have to respect your follow up.
His standing mk is a great spacing tool, but not cancelable.
his lp slash (qcf + lp is a good poke that leaves you at slight disadvantage on block and positive on block. If you mash throw after hitting with this, they will be thrown if they try to push a button. This means it is not more than +3 on hit.
st.mp is a great normal to cancel out of, but I think it is also a move that you can frame trap with on block. It moves him slightly forward, but most good buttons from other players will beat it, so it’s hard to get in to range to use this.
His fireballs are terrrible as a zoning tool sadly. The opponent can see the start up, dash forward, then jump over and still Rashid has not recovered. I think it is meant to be used in strings so that the opponent has to block it and you will have frame advantage, or get hit if they try to jump away. Hk tornado can be comboed out of with jabs, but this doesn’t work mid screen. Ex tornado can be comboed out of with st.mp. Thus st.hp/c.hp xx ex tornado, st.mp works.
His vtrigger has a lot of potential, and even if you can combo in to it from st.mp (Or maybe you have to use a heavy move don’t remember) I think it is meant to be done from far, to limit your opponent and to find a way to get in.
The vtrigger alters the momentum of every forward moving move that rashid has, and makes them safer in a lot of the cases. Examples:
If Rashid jumps through it, he will reach the opponent on the other sideof the screen in a flash, and the same goes for his vskill flip
If rashid does a slash through it, the movements gets bigger and he is safer, and it moves full screen fast.
If rashid vtrigger rolls through: full screen in a flash, but can be hit out of this easily.
if he does standing hk same thing: full screen crush counter baby!
forward+hp: full screen fast overhead, but punishable on blovk still I think?!
The best one though: his tatsu: flies full screen in a flash, beats lows, and because of the vtrigger Rashid gets sucked back to the other side of the screen again behind the tornado, so safe on block and in the position to do another one! He can do 3 or 4 of these before the tornado runs out.
forward + mp moves him forward further, but not full screen and not so fast.
I might be underestimating the frame advantage Rashid might get form the moves done thorugh vtrigger as it was hard to test.
All in all Rashid seems like an aggressive oriented character (Not zoning as I originally hoped for a little), but he does seem to lack the tools to get in safely. I might be bad though, but his moves seems to get him close but at disadvantage, and his vskills are mostly anti projectile (his flip is great against fireballers, where you flip and react with hk/2x kick) if they throw a fireball, or lk to cancel it if they don’t throw anything).
Edit: Just saw some footage from Karin build, and his c.mk seems to have much more range, so that will help him a lot!!
-Other thing I just noticed: His roll goes through attacks now too, and in the build I had he barely made it through projectiles!
