Oh. Youâre not actually running it through GGPO, then; youâre just using the client. I figured thatâs what you meant. This technically works but you donât get a lobby, proper savestate or any real other kind of support. So it technically counts as the hack I mentioned earlier.

He wasnât actually clueless; he was partially correct. He wasnât technically ON GGPO (the service) but he was using the emulator that is a part of GGPO (the client) to play Snow Bros. It would have been more correct for him to say the latter, or to just say GGPOFBA (which is the proper name of the GGPO emulator client), but I doubt he spends that much time thinking about that shit and he was probably just trying to talk about his love for Snow Bros.

well there is a mistake you are making here and that is that ggpofba is not representative of the ggpo experience as a whole (even though it is part of ggpo); most people assume that when you say âplay on GGPOâ you mean to play online. it may make more sense and cause less drama to say, âi use GGPOFBAâ or âi use the GGPO emulatorâ which are better understood by people here.

To be fair Leraldo did start off by saying out of nowhere that the Snow Bros scene on GGPO is huge. If you didnât think he was being sarcastic itâs easy to think he was talking about people playing Snow Bros at tournaments/gatherings on the ggpo emulator. Hell Iâve seen people at tournaments just sitting around and playing random-ass games using the ggpo emulator that the online doesnât support.
