…but if me and my friends get accustomed to playing each others tactics, theres almost no way to know of higher level play unless we take constant trips to Japan or something. dont be mad, theres not much u can do…less u wanna train a young Padawan the right way and hope he can impart the knowledge and his own twist to others. 
How about asking questions, going to dreamcancel or watching match vids?

It doesnt matter how much u learn from the boards and videos if u dont have any legit players to apply the info on. hence asking if a persons down wit helpin with hands on experience (hoping the online doesnt lag much–only on 360).

I’d say it is. Play Emil and it was a higher level then just about anyone I saw at any KOF tourney I ever entered. (Even if it has been 2 years since I’ve played KOF)
Seriously, we played each other constantly over about a 5-6 year period, he was constantly better, despite me leveling up my game, and trying different things each time to deal with his level ups. He’s got the tools of a legit top player if he ever showed up- though I think the offline environment would give him problems.
I understand why Emil’s mad. If you were real good at something, and yet you didn’t have any competition, you’d be mad too and wondering why you couldn’t find someone to push you. Don’t you guys get annoyed at flowchart Kens in SF? Flowchart KOF is just as bad.

I haven’t really been playing kof much lately, becoming much less of a priority now. Still willing to play if anyone wants to, but I’ll rarely be showing up on GGPO unless called up on.
And Arstal, it wasn’t really that serious…you’re inflating me seriously. In the grand scheme of things, I’m an average player that understands high level play.

anyone who’s serious about competitive games must go where the pros are, specially if you’ve already beating everyone in your area or people you have access with, but emil just doesn’t care about that. He doesn’t care about traveling or even showing himself in his area.
that’s part of the big problem right now with snk community and why digimonemporer is so mad. The online community is not helping at all the offline community because dudes like emil will never show up for tournaments.

If the #snkplaymore channel over on EFNET is “truly” supposed to represent our community for this country (:rolleyes:), then they better start encouraging as much offline affairs as they can. Especially if you want to even see a scene for KOFXIII here. What better way to start with such a QUALITY KOF GAME like 2k2 UM, right (mind you this should have started/happened a year ago)? But hey having 2k2 UM @ NEC is a start. We’ll see where it goes from there.
