You should already know if Marvel was in the roster people would come.
Note: While it’s too late to change the date, probably, getting people from out of state (well, region, driving distance, you know) is proving to be difficult merely by virtue of the event being in the middle of December, thus increasing plane ticket prices and the likelihood that people will be saving their money.
Just something to consider for the next time.
the only reason that marvel isn’t on is because sam obviously has little faith in you all coming to portland since you all skipped out on the last infinity marvel tournaments so all you have to do is come and it will be there so why is everyone complaining it’s not there? it’s kind of like that secret chicken that only we know about on the Chinese menu.

Well if you have that little faith in t5, as in the game I would have assumed you would have most wanted in tourney, we can always drop it. Though even without portland most of the t5 scene in Washington seems pretty down to travel. Your negativty towards people actually wanting it seems a little harsh.
As For GGXX stop making it like I’m trying to support it because it’s a game I play and Marvel is a game I don’t play. In reality if Marvel was there I’d probably enter just to get entrants up. I mean I suck at marvel but I’d at least give a go of it to try and keep the community strong. And that is the same way I feel for Guilty Gear.
As for people at PSU playing it and thats why its in the tourney, that point has slightly more validty too it, and In some ways I guess it’s true, but thats not why marvel isn’t there. Marvel isn’t there yet because only a few washington players have expressed interest in coming down if its during the winter. It’s not like we can’t add the game. Its not like adding it would be tough. So please stop coming and raising all this hell like people are personally trying to attack the marvel scene and hating on all its players, because thats not true.
Also according to entrance satistics at EVO I’d say that Third Strike is now the “biggest” game on SRK, it may not be the founder but it’s the new blood.
I’m positive marvel will get more people than gg and tekken. I think it’s pretty funny that the 2nd most entered game at evo is not include when it had more people than gg AND cvs2. LOL
I entered every game possible. We need Marvel though to make shit serious.

I actually don’t think there’s enough players for T5 or Marvel (according to the registration page there are quite a few GG players), so we should simplify and just have CVS2!

Just to get it out the way, 3rd strike is the easiest game to pick up and play. and to also atleast be decent, hince its high entrants. Marvel by far is the most popular game, which is why all Money matches are featured between big players, 5 on 5’s most watched and why marvel finals is always shown last at evo.
So much for assuming anything on me. I can hardly give a damn about T5. Im just using your guy’s points of reasoning and breaking them down. If T5 is in there, GREAT, If not, I save $10. To be honest: im a little more caught up on the T5 scene then anybody running this tourney. To let yall know: Survey SAYS: most of the cats are waiting for T6. they had a tourney this past saturday in washington. wanna know the entrants: 7. They really havent gotten past 10 entrants in a while. what im saying is, they not really even down to catch there own tournaments, whats the chance’s they floating over here by december?
My point is: Im not even a Marvel player and i think its outragous that its not in this tourney. Im not attacking you guys, its more im attacking your reasoning. your catering to people who dont even post/know what SRK is. The reason i know this is b/c where was there noise to bring there game into this? IT WASNT THERE. If its not hard to just put the game in there. Then just put it in there and End this madness. Otherwise this tourney game selection is still gonna look personal motive based and go no where. If your are gonna make a tourney for a game with real soft popularity in the area on the maybe of the entrants, Dont you think you should do it for the maybe of the enrants of one of the most popular games in the area?

Please everyone, keep in mind the first rule of the tournament when we accost each other on said games.
I can say that GG will be getting enough people to justify having it on here. We’ve got groups of people who are coming out of town to commit to it, so I’m pretty confident at getting a large number of entrants (comparatively).
If we don’t get enough entrants before like, november, we can always just drop the game. I personally have been talking to scenes of players who are willing to make the 1-4 hour trip to get here to play, and I hear Marvel players whining about having to drive more than a block on the main thread. It’s true that not many of the main marvel players are online, but how can you be sure they’ll be here? Spread the word, dont just complain louader - get the people registered and commited. And stop the hate, yo.
