You know what? I think I get why you play Blanka. It probably has to do with your wild animal fetish/job. No idea why it took me so long to figure this out. When I get my wild tiger Scarface American Dream stilo I will come to you for assistance.

The main reason I play Blanka was because back in the day, all my brothers played Ryu, Guile and various others, where I was never allowed to play. I would hop on when I could, and Blanka looked like a “monster” to me back then, so I figured he’d be able to win.
My logic was and still is flawed based on my character choice.
^I’ve been practicing up with DeLucifer and I can tell you I think I’ve got the Akuma v Blanka match down. There’s so much mind games in that match-up though it really is who outsmarts the other one. Also DeLucifers Fei is pretty tight I like that I’m slowly learning that match-up as well.

akuma vs blanka is a pure mindgame match. For blanka it is just positioning and getting out of the vortex. as for fei long, i have no clue. ive got some new shit with him though.

Since im pretty new to gameworks, what are the days to head down? Seems every time i go there’s no one there, except maybe 2 people.
Thursday nights seem to generally be when the most people go, but I’ve only been there like 3-4 times.
As far as I know it’s pretty random as to when people will find free time to go. That’s why this thread was made. Just post when you might go, or look for posts from other people going. There kinda is no set day anyone goes. Doug consistently seems to post for Monday nights though…I’m thinking of going either tomorrow night or Thursday before Halloween weekend but I’m not sure yet.
I should be there this Thursday, and I think Hyre atleast is planning on being there as well.
The Future tends to be there everytime I go, but I think it’s just because he is always there.
Team Jurassic (Dustin, Chris, Vivek) seem to be there most Thursdays as well.
Thursdays are the days with the most people but it sucks because the rotation is easily well over 15 people.
Yeah, it’s a tougher Rufus combo, I first saw marn do it at MWC.

Been practicing since then. It’s a really fun combo to do, but us Rufus players don’t get much of a chance to use it.
The last two thursdays were actually quite chill with less than 7 people at any given time. Last week Future and Samson were there earlier with a special guest appearance from the bwhm, later there was a group of people I hadn’t seen before who were decent but still learning, and Chris(rampage) showed up late.

When Francis and I went to GW before the first night of Tournament Wars, we saw that dude. When Francis played him, dude was getting hella frustrated and Paul Lee and I were in the back laughing so hard when he lost.

Yeah, I like to show up at like 7 and leave around 10 depending on how things go on Thursdays. I don’t really care much for the unlimited timecard line extravaganza.
Fun but way too much damage scaling to burn meter;s.lk s.lk c.mk ex tornado is just as hard (if not harder, one frame link) and actually gets you some decent damage for the meter. You probably know that but I’m really trying to enlighten people on the concept of damage scaling because a lot of people don’t think about it.
I think cause there was something else going on that thursday. That’s cool though, it’s usually way too many people. 7 sounds nice.
Looking like I’m hanging out with a ton of different peeps this weekend, don’t know if any of it will be game related.

I usually just go for s. lk x2 to cr. lk since its a whole lot easier and still does decent damage. But the cool thing is that you can just hit confirm far standing jab by itself to c.mk -> ex Gt which can lead to a ton of things.
