Rally Point: Gameworks

Thursday nights probably. They do unlimited game cards for 10$ between 9PM-Midnight. Though it’s usually a good idea to show up earlier and just play regular because the line gets a little ridiculous after 9PM.

Ah cool, thanks. Yea, me and my team have been playing at Gameworks before TW’s and I gotta say, paying $1 to play a game that you can play for free at your own place feels painful.

How many people would you say are at a rotation Thursdays after 9PM on SF4?

15+ everytime.

Allright cool, I’ll try to make it up there this Thursday. Plus, you’re free to just play any games they have there with the unlimited card when you’re waiting for your turn on the SF4 machine.

Anyone going down tomorrow night?

I forgot my laptop power chord at my dad’s place so I’ll need to make the drive up tomorrow anyways, might as well get some practice in.

I think a couple people mentioned they might go, but yeah, Dugg and SuperJoe seem to own Monday night’s at GW.

I’ll be there tonight…Mondayyyyyyy…Jared come out so I can hit you back on that brewskie. I forgot to on TW, people (and myself, admittedly) got me a bit too fuckered up to remember…

But yes. Come. Teach me Blanka matchup tonight when I’m open to it…no drama fuckin with my head! (hate women, should go gay.)

qft!

lol I’m pretty dramatic… but it’s a different kind of dramatic. There’s probably more chill gay guys than dem females, but there’s also guys that are boatloads more drama than most women. People are just crazy.

On topic, I don’t know if I’d be at gameworks tonight. I kinda wanna try some tekken stuff out (grosssss) though.

Elias: Nike.

I would totally m8, but you know how it is already. Being broke sucks, or I’d totally hit it up. Just a temporary thing, I get paid November 5th, and every paycheck with that one after goes toward the move/living situation.

Ho fa sho!

Just remember those few things I mentioned and everything is golden. My extra suggestions to you is: Look out for Cross-up Blanka balls on your wake-up, and just be ready to block High-Low-Low on his cross-up MK’s, because most of Blanka’s combos revolve around getting that low poke to Electricity/s.Jab->BlankaBall (Hit-confirmed Super)/Ultra.

Just remember to look for those things and you’ll do well.

OH yeah! Don’t jump.

Took me a minute to get it.

The tight thing about Akuma v Blanka is he’s one of the few characters who can pressure blanka on wakeup because you can do meaty air fireballs to stuff upball. Not ultra though.

Except Blanka builds meter quick, making him more likely to have an Ex bar to use for Ex Vertical Ball for the free hit if Akuma tosses a Fireball, and any damage Akuma takes is bad damage.

Blanka is a jerk.

And cute as a button. Who wouldn’t want a 6’ Electrified Green Carnivore for a pet? I sure as hell do.

Save me shit tons on my power bill.

no no. dont be hating on blanka now. cute as a button is right!

Not a free hit at all. I don’t mean jump forward and throw a fireball while you’re getting up… I mean like early jump straight up throw a jab fireball, land. Walk up to you and block and wait for A) the fireball to put you in blockstun, or B) you to blow meter through, me to get a free punish. It’s a hella third strike akuma tactic but it’s underrated. You recover before they do, but there’s still a fireball comin at 'em.

I know where you’re going with this, the problem is immediately after the block stun, and an Akuma is walking up fast, means they are going to try something to be gaining that ground in the first place, and then comes the Ex Blanka/Vertical Ball (More like Blanka ball due to Armor breaking).

Either way, comes down to the PLAYERS! Just can’t really make no mistakes around a character that can close spacings quickly, like Blanka.

I mean yeah it could go either way… but compared to most characters, Akuma can pressure Blanka more safely on knockdown than anyone else really. Nobody can cross him (blanka) up really because it’s so easy to see coming and just upball. I would just throw meaty air fireballs and walk until they’re coming out of blockstun and block. I’d either block a blanka ball, see a whiffed throw, or get a chance to poke. I’LL BAIT YOU ALL DAY SON AKUMA V BLANKA LET’S GO

LETS DO THIS SON!

I’ve seriously played so much Akuma v. Blanka in the past that it just happens to be the random factor that gives Blanka so much of an edge. Akuma has multiple ways to play, but if the Blanka player is smart (unlike me), he will know what to look for.

LETS DO IT ANYWAY! Prove me wrong and rape mah babies!
