HYPE!

I’ll bring Twinkle star sprite if anyone wants to run a little side tourney.

OH SNAPS UR COMING STILL DELLY (thought it was just in April =/)??? Well then me must run Twinkle Star Sprite and Magical Drop 3. Can you bring both games please???

Say yes to both and we’re good to go.

Yep, I have the OK from the wife.

I’ll bring both TSS and MD3 for the neo home system. I’ll also start working on getting a candy cab there for MOTW and CVS2.

OMFG!!! Nice dude. Hope that cab is a “GO!” soon. That’d be a nice addition to the tournament. Ok adding TSS and MD3 to the tournament list.

Punnha - if you see this, is there ANY way we can get a UMK3 cab to use for this tournament?

Edit: First post Updated

Delly and Desmond you are also part of staff, assist Webster whatever way possible please. I personally during this timeframe will be at Mexico vs. Peru 2011 in Lima, Peru making sure that tournament goes smoothly. I put my trust in Webster, Desmond, and Djdelly that things will go according to plan.

I only have a mame, snes, and genesis version of umk3.
i would ask Summit Amusement for stuff like that.

WELCOME

They are based in the Twin Cities and they supply the MN state fair with arcade games. Last time I went to their building, I saw a UMK3 cab. What version, I don’t know.

Punnha: K thanks for the info. I’ll contact them and see what I can muster.

Desmond/Delly: If you guys have anything in particular you’d like to run or do at this tournament, please lemme know and we’ll make it so.

Side tournament! Tetris PS3!!! If time!

I will host the stream, here is the URL:

RagingStormMinnesota on USTREAM: Raging Storm Minnesota tournaments.

Oh btw, which systems are games being ran on? Will 2002UM/98UM be on 360 or ps2? CvS2 on ps2 emulated on ps3?

You mispelled Candy Cap

If there’s time and interest, you got it buddy.

Very nice Desmond. And thanks again in advance for the stream.

Expect all tournaments to be ran on PS2/PS3 (non Smash) like normal. Unless we have arcade cabs for a select few games.

Rules for tournament games will be up soon. Stay tuned.

Any suggestions keep em coming. Keep the thread hype.

Well I assure you there will be a PS3 with Tetris there when the times comes!

What about players who play KOF2002UM/98UM on 360? It wouldn’t be good to single them out, IMO. I personally don’t mind either system, but some people do.

Well for the last few tournaments we’ve had in MN, PS2 versions of KOF have worked out well. I’d like to continue with that trend. Gene and My tournaments has been pretty PS3/PS2 heavy (except for shooters) with tons of success.

Glake: Alright cool. Thanks for the heads up.

I got a boner when you said “candy cab” and “CvS2” in the same sentence. So expect me to have a boner for the whole event if it does make it there.

BTW, for those who dont kno, CvS2 is my favorite Fighting game.

Man Webster, I’m gonna plan to come to this tourney. Can’t have you coming down to PowerUp and me never returning the favor! Gonna keep my schedule clear.

I will definitely run TvC if there is space and time for it to happen.

Indecent Exposure. Is that wrong if it happens because of one’s love for a fighting game?

Hmmmmmm…

Yo Nathan that’d be absolutely FANTASTIC if you were able to come out to this. If we get more support for TvC: UAS from the folks in this thread, we can definitely make it a featured game at this event.

Encourage the hype.

Anyway we can do both systems somehow? It would just suck for leave out people that play the game on 360 and don’t have a ps2. I would bring my pending 360 setup and well as the ps2, and ask anyone else to bring their own. Reason I’m stressing this is because I want everyone to play.

That honestly makes things rather complicated. And giving people a choice to play on one system vs. another really slows things down. Especially if people would rather play on their prefered system.

Hence why SSF4 tournaments stick to one console they chose to go with for tournaments.

But I’ll tell you what, if people WHO ARE attending this tournament request to have KOF2k2UM on 360, and they outweigh those who want it on PS2…then we’ll run it on 360.

I personally would rather play on PS2. But its whatever. I may not get to play anyways being so busy with everything else.
