To be honest, it’s not really a system issue, it’s really a stick/pad issue. Some people are comfortably playing on their own shit they’ve been practicing on for a grip. For me, it does kinda suck that I gotta buy a whole new stick and shit for the 360, while some people just like to play whatever pad they have for their respective system. While at the same time the 360 was chosen to be the only system 2002UM has a USA release on.

Guys hype up the tetris and mvc2 low tier tournaments and lets get em on the schedule. I may have to move the schedule around a bit for mvc2 low tier, tetris, and garou…if all 3 tournaments get enough hype.

I am going to comment on the XBOX360/PS2 2k2UM issue. Basically yes, that is SNKp’s fault, but we have to have some type of standard for the tournament. At Absolute Battle most of the people there played the game on the 360, but were able to adapt relatively easily with PS2 controllers/sticks to the PS2 version of the game, so this is something we are going to ask of them for this particular tournament as well. Otherwise trying to do both PS2 and XBOX360 versions will without question complicate things, what if the championship comes down to someone who only plays on xbox360 and the other only ps2? Then we have a problem…so we have to standardize it in one way shape or form, and for this we will keep it PS2. I don’t see how it would be that difficult for people to adapt from a 4-6 button XBOX360 pad to a 8 button PS2 pad, or an XBOX360 stick to a PS2 one.
I also feel it would be a lot easier to get access to PS2s for the tournament than XBOX360s, much much easier.
But this is also why we are making sure this is posted in advance, so people can adjust accordingly.
The XBOX360 version of 2002UM feels so weird and different compared to the ps2. I can’t put my finger on it. The two versions are obviously different…
