Raging Blast 2.

This game is absolute GARBAGE!!! Had this shit bought for me. Played it less than 20 mins on the stream in training/tutorial mode(s), and took that shit straight back (that along with UNS2). Holy fuck is B3 1,000,000,000 times better than this bullshit.

Graphics: SLOPPY (looks rushed)

Controls: SLOPPY AND SCRUBISH (flick the right anolog for Kamehameha…I DON’T FUCKING THINK SO)

Characters: LAUGHABLE (compared to BT3…seriously 3rd Gen systems have a weird habit of making newer games ASS BACKWARDS from games before it. who gives a fuck about the shitty new character from that Jap movie no one cares about?)

Replayability: my guess…WORTHLESS ($100 says netplay is garbage. that combined with shitty controls. the only game you’re gonna play is "how fast yo ass can drive BACK to game stop. :p)

…waits for Burst Limit 2.

liked the baseline ki system, but then again i like tiers. balance is boring

This game is not the most in-depth, but it is fun to mash with if you’re a fan of the anime. I do want to say that the game looks amazing, and I’m not sure why you think it is sloppy looking. Also, the controls are easy, but that does not mean it is a bad game. I know that as fighting gamers we like to show off our awesome controller skills through complicated controls motions/links, but not every game has to be like that.

That said, I have been enjoying myself just mashing buttons and looking cool…lol.

…

Just doesn’t make sense to me, when u have gdlk gems like BT3 (and B3.1) on PS2, only to have their respective games made after…on MUCH MORE POWERFUL CONSOLES…turn out to be complete shit…watered down…and more scrubish (imo).

leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth.

also makes me think: why they can’t just take the ps2 games and put them on psn (or whatever) for sale with online? cause i’d rather spend money AGAIN to play quality…than to be given money from ANYONE to buy garbage.

nowadays people just throw games out of their ass (and if your name is ono…probably out our your insanely large forehead). add, what they call, amazing netplay (as shitty as it may be). and simplified controls. and call it a game.

-___-

…christ.

so the game isn’t anywhere near BT2 or BT3? Profound sadness…

Edit: I wish there were some matches online of 2 people who at least knew the ins and outs of the game to see if there was any potential at all.

Edit 2:

I also am gonna have to disagree with you on one thing digimonemporer…The graphics actually look pretty good to me. especially on the background areas. Presentation actually isn’t bad in the battles either but I can already see some things from in that annoy me in comparison to BT2 and BT3. Why the fuck did they make the grab animation THAT damn long!? It was at least usable in T2 and T3 but that grab looks like it takes 10 seconds to come out. And I STILL hate the way the beams look in this game.

that is bad, considering BT was ass too =P

hahaha

Whoa. Whoa.

While I do agree that getting dizzied is easy in IW, B3’s dizzy had zero use because it was near impossible to get. In IW you can take advantage of it 100%.

Videl and Great Saiyawoman have different strings, and GT Vegeta is just outside of the top tier.

Gigantic Slam is the worst RT Ultimate in the game. Does not dizzy and requires landing it at a specific height in juggles to hit properly and safely. Pikkon’s specials aren’t great either…either they don’t connect properly or is unsafe on hit.

Indeed an oversight. Cutscene ultimates have strict damage scaling during combos, though.

That’s…more of a pro than a con…

Remember, DigimonEmporer got rid of the game after only playing 20 minutes in the tutorial/training. His experiences are not indicative of the entire game.

Also, I can’t tell you what the game will look like at the highest level, but I can give you an idea of your offensive options.

First off, everything can be Vanished (teleported). This sounds crazy good, but the timing needed to Vanish is strict and most normal moves are delay-able. Grabs cannot be Vanished, but they are broken the same way you Vanish. This is not offense, but it is important.

Options at long range:

Charge Ki.
Shoot some fireballs.
Homing Dash attack.
Z Dash attack (this is a dash that moves behind the opponent).
Homing Dash stop (if you suspect opponent is going to rush super).
Random beam super (not a good idea).
Instant Transmission (for the characters that have it).
Transform (for the characters that have it).

Close Range:

Shoot some fireballs.
Charge attacks w/ super armor and guard break (if charged for a specific time they will do an unblockable mid-range teleport attack).
Rush attacks into guard break/stun/turn around/knock away (your main combo strings. Can combo into super off of stun/turn around).
Jump attack (stuns or guard breaks).
Grab w/ super armor.
If you knock opponent away, then pursuit attack, shoot fireballs, or charge ki.

This is the basic offensive game. At least, how I see it.

i can play a game for probably less than 20 min and can tell if it’s to my liking. game is not good.

but if some of yous enjoy it…then more power to yha.

Who the heck translated this game? I’m doing Tutorial mode and can barely understand what the text wants me to do @_@.

A lot of people seem to be having trouble with Tutorial mode. I’m not sure why though; I made it through with no trouble. What are you having a problem with, and I’ll see if I can help.

Budokai 3 question: once you unlock the REAL intro (with vocals), does that replace the instrumental default intro?

Wo, wait a minute! You can unlock the vocal version of the Budokai 3 intro? This I never heard, I thought it was only available in the Japanese version.

Whoops. My mistake. You can only unlock the previous Budokai’s jp intro (which is pretty freakin’ dumb…each game should have it’s own true intro unlockable, or just available from the get-go, like the euro version).

Which is a bad thing since the games loaded with infinite combos, stunned juggles could cost you the game since you can’t teleport when your in stunned state. I bet if you asked some good players what they thought of the stun/tired system they will say nothing but negative things about it.

Yeah, no Dragon rush is definitely a pro.

One thing I also wanna say about Budokai I even liked the moves themselves over the ones used in the Sparking! series, moves like Tri Beams & Special Beam cannon just look better and moves they made up like Pride of the Saiyans were great. Then again Bardok had an awesome moveset all around.

In Raging Blast 2, I sat down last night and worked out all of Future Gohan’s normal combos (no cancels). When listed straight down, no skipped lines, they take up about 2 1/4 pages of a word document.

Good match

Agreed, I didn’t like the chance-based execution of it but dragon rush was very useful for resetting to at least a neutral state from hyper mode. Even if you fail the first part, taking 100 ~ 200 points of damage is much better than exhaustion state.
