think of it as a patch. like some characters got more cancel points in move sets. some normals have different properties. added costumes, graphics fixes, etc.
3.1 feels a lot smoother and better than 3.
i never played shin b. i’m sure i won’t like it…especially if it’s like infinite world. i think infinite world is ass. and if i wanna play infinite world…i mind as well play tenkaichi 3.
Yeah, Infinite World cons definitely out-weighed the pros.
Pros
-Cool new characters with specials like Janemba/Super 17/Goku GT.
-My guy Dr.Gero can absorb beams now instead of just energy spheres. Plus he has his eye lazor move.
new moves for characters like Kid Gohan’s Ultimate Masenko and Kid Buu’s Assualt Rain etc.
-Not every Ultimate move had to be a cut-scene.
Cons -Not getting tired required skill in Budokai 3 but in Infinite World, just hitting the opponent will eventually get them tired.
-Shitty new characters like Great Saiyawoman wasn’t any different from Videl, GT Vegeta was pointless
Certain character special were extremely OP like Broly(Gigantic Slam) and Pikkon moves.
-Some new Ultimates can’t be defended during cutscene.
Even though they should of varied the animations enders with the Dragon Rush, I found it to be great. Also, IIRC starting a dragon rush gets your energy back to normal after it ends. Dragon Rush was really good for if you hyper charged and only had a little time left before you get tired. That seemed like more of a legitimate reason to use it than just going for extra damage.
no dragon rush (uhmmm… ), no beam clash (did they REALLY just go a step backwards…oh yeah this game was rushed), retarded hyper armor (extremely more worse, imo, than the hyper mode in B3.1. why the heck can everyone turn into Broly in IW?).
new characters are lame…but I do appreciate them in there. and IW is faster than B3.1. and for some characters, their movelist has been dramatically changed…
but for some reason, and like I said before, if I wanna play a game like IW/SB/or whatever…I’ll just play Tenkaichi 3 (since I feel that game has a much better system.
I like B3.1 the best out of 3 them all. And I don’t view IW and 3.1 as the same type of game. IW (and games like it) looks like a watered down 2d version of Tenkaichi ha.
It’s been mentioned, but it is the Greatest Hits version of Budokai 3. I would use the acronym B3GH to make it more clear. If you want that version, you might need to be careful. Some prints of B3GH were just the original version and would mess w/ your B3 save file. You’ll know if you have the real GH version if you see Pan’s mouth move while talking.
Budokai 3 Greatest Hits version is definitely the best version of B3. That, SBAR, and IW are the best games in the Budokai series. SBAR is the overall best. IW while good, is a downgrade to what Dimps did in SBAR.
Mash square, then toss in a Triangle.
Tap triangle quick for quick chi shots.
Use the right analog for special moves.
That’s pretty much all I got from playing the game ^_^;
NO! Fuck that shit! Fuck that! Omega Shenron and Kid Buu from B3? Uh, yeah two teleports and maxed ass combo already? No sir. Let 4 or 5 be the max base line and let that shit be.
Hmmm…well randomly, one of my friends dropped me off a copy of Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 today. So I will be playing it and putting it on my stream all day for people to check the game out.
I felt the same why when I played the demo of RB1. I didn’t play BT3, but the controls in BT2 where not as bad as RB games to me.
Ah ya, Omega Shenron is like god tier or so in that game with 7 base line ki bars. I did mention later in the topic another idea. I would just say mix the baseline ki system with BL ki system to make a balance of the two, with 5 ki bars as the max.
So I’ve just got this game yesterday and at the same time my friends were at my house, we only played a few matches cause it was no fun with all the button mashes it turned because nobody could totally understand the controls, so we just switched back to Tekken 6 and some SSF4 lol.
Today I tried the tutorial and now I’m running through Galaxy mode for unlocking purposes, I’ve got used to the controls and GM offers a good variety of challenges, its pretty fun and reminds me of an arcade game with high scores and such.
Let’s see what will happen the next time we try to play this properly, I doubt it could be strongly competitive, but I will be glad if it turn out to be fun cause I never expect to much from anime based games (especially when made by Dimps).
