It’s funny that you mentioned CRUSHKID, because right after reading this post, I played my first Ranked matches ever (only had the game about 2 hours now), and the name sounded really familiar…I couldn’t quite place why. That is, until I beat him. Dropped at KO screen. He played Frank West and Blade, and lost to my VERY mash happy Batsu - Tekkaman team. Except, I think he had around 3k BP this time lol. I guess RQ as a strategy works?
i dont even know how people quit out other than shutting off their wii. it happened to me a few times today. i had some really good matches with this guy and the last one i totally was kicking his ass and he quit. ghey.
ALBERT and LAWTON both ragequitted on me at the results screen. Both were using easy mode to keep up.
I’m gonna make a list of all the players I suspect using simplified wiimote controls. Keep that shit in Free Battles.
Seems like too much of a hassle to record the names of all the ragequitters this game has cause there are a lot of them. The ones that bug me the most though are the ones with the high BP or high win rate.

I had the laggiest match ever, and i mean in all of history, two seconds button lag and game going slow,REALLY REALLY slow. I quitted? No, i actually won the match because ragequitting is stupid even with lag.
Besides that, this game has good netplay, just some people with bad connections.
Lag matches are horrible, but still winnable most of the time because of all the “This is my first fighter EVAR!” wii mote users. Most of the people I’ve fought just use an endless string of specials (still punishable in lag) or normals (Soki and Zero are damn hard to punish in lag. Is it even possible?)
I just play keepaway when it happens, and use single hit confirm/super style combos, like 3S.
When people quit on me I still get my points, but I get stuck at the rematch screen. Has this happened to anyone else?
I got rage quit on I’m not sure why as i’m not particular good at this game. But I don’t understand people who try to justify their rage quits with lag johns. Just take the L like it’s weed then go back into the lab and get better that’s all there is too it.
I’ve been getting more and more people disconnecting on me. I’m having people rage quit on me at least 5 a day now.
Out of all my matches, I had 2 with really terrible lag. I just didn’t care and let the opponent finish me off.
I don’t do ranked that often because it’s no any fun when people just rage quit. It’s like what the hell just becuase you have an over inflated self ego doesn’t mean you should quit when you lose.
I’ve been doing Free Battles a little more though. Unfortunately it feels like the connections less stable. It might just be my bad luck though.
Well, good for you! I want to play to have fun and get better. Reason why I play ranked opposed to free battles because I find more challenge. But I don’t go online to play in ridiculous lag. It’s just a waste of time. I don’t care if I get straight up pwned in ranked as long as my connection is fine. Heck, I rematch over and over not caring if I lose my stupid BP!
This wouldn’t even be a problem if I could see my opponent’s connection before I enter a match!
If you want to get better there’s training mode. Find people from SRK and add them to your friend list and play them. No point in rage quitting because you lost.

A fucking Zero player that uses slight input lag to lock you in blockstun while he mashes buttons in ranked. Gets a few matches off me, and when I actually block and punish accordingly and win, he ragequits:

If you read my earlier post I quit near the beginning of the match in one game because of lag. I did add people from SRK and I do use training mode. -_-

re-confirming – Masters RageQuit on me too… A few days ago (I think it was my 2nd day with the game), My controller conked out on me the first game, so I rematched him and kicked his ass. But then He RQed on me. It wasn’t even a ranked match.
… I NEVER ragequit… Ever. I can be on a losing streak that lasts 3 hours against the same person and still continue to play.
It would be nice if Capcom openly said you could submit all the screen caps to them and that they would openly penalize all these players as rage quitters. That way those rage quitters can fight amongst themselves.
Wiimote Zero is a disgrace to the game and just one of the reason why online rankings are so stupid.
How do you tell if someone’s using a Wiimote?
