Fought Darius, that guy lagged to oblivion and used Saki to win the match by playing keep away. The lag was so bad that i couldn’t time my jumps and air dashes and lost the match. Saki is so nice to have spamming the gun when you can’t do anything.

The grabs fuck everyone up online it seems.
The only way to successfully perform a breakaway is to start mashing before the grab even comes out.
I feel like we’re slowly going to see the masses of people that scrub it up with zero/blade/soki teams switch over to ptx or lightan.
Everyone I’ve played in the top 20 uses PTX so I think that says something about the horrible lag.
people ragequit and use lag tactics more in this game than SFIV.

And this guy button mashed with lightan and killed my Karas/Roll, so I switched to Karas/Ryu, played runaway (sloppily though because of lag) but just barely won. He decided he wouldn’t give me my points for the trouble. 
edit yeah I’ve played matches that were pretty much unplayable due to lag and would never ragequit. My win % doesn’t mean that much to me. I do wish there was an option to block players though.
mash out of grab every time, on reaction, online. i have a good connection and a LAN adapter though
i have noticed lots of the highest rated people pick giants a lot, but i think most people jsut dont know how to mash out of their throws, which gives them the impression theyre easy to win with

I never rage quit. That combined with my sheer noobness kills my win ratio! Tryin to get better by rematching a lot on ranked. Played against the #1 US guy Xian. the match was laggy n He used PTX n kept BBQing n comboing me in the corner. X_X. ICMZ 5th is really good though. No lag with my match with him and he straight up pwned me with skill. Added him to rivals.
EDIT: I just rage quit a match. It was too laggy to land combos so I left. (Powered off my wii) Haha!

This is getting ridiculous, you kids just shouldnt play ranked at all if your going to RQ, regardless of the reason. Just like a rollercoaster requires you to be a certain height to ride, playing ranked FGs requiers a certain mental fortitude, if you dont have it, let go of the stick or pad and stay with casual games.

Y so serious? I just left once, near the beginning at the match. I couldnt even land a b/b combo or a hit for a matter of fact and was being spammed to death. I find a game unplayable if you can’t block or attack on reaction and have to resort to button mashing. If ne thing you should be mad at capcom and/or nintendo for the way online is.
From what I hear you get punishEd for DCing too many times and get matched up with other rage quitters? Is this system actually in the game or will it be in SSFIV? They should of made it like SFIV where you could at least see ur opponent’s connection strength (but not bp so u dont have people picking fights) before you pick a match. But this is online for the Wii. Maybe I’m asking for too much?

Ranked is terrible. It’s either laggy or the people quit the moment they realize there’s no chance in hell for them to beat you.

Not really related, but ranking has also been annoying me lately as well. I’m pretty much stuck at Ultra Champ rank, cause the game flat out refuses to give me players who are a similar rank to me. I either get guys who are way beyond my level and obliterate me, or I get beginners who give me fuck-all points.

Just wit until the game lives longer, its because there isnt many ultra champs right now and even less of those people are on, the longer the game goes on the more ultra champs there will be
