well it’s not really a ragequit, but today I put a zangief icon and title in my “profile” and I had 3 people disconnect on me in the lobby, even if the connection was good. (no, i don’t really use Gief)
Anyone had this happen? Do people really hate that hairy russian fuck so bad? (I do, but not as bad as to disconnect)

not all of these are necessarily ragequits. if the disconnector didn’t do anything specific before the d/c (i.e. taunt nonstop), it could really just be a bad connection spike.
Yeah you’re right. He got destroyed the 1st round and was 2/3rds of the way to being perfected in the 2nd. Probly not a ragequit
Ya know… I got called a rage quitter last night, twice, and I honestly didn’t rage quit, I left the little lobby thing after like 4 matches so I could play some Championship mode, and got messages bein like “Aww, why the rage quit?” and it confused the shit out of me.
I got a couple messages from this dick, as well.
I, too, was playing Honda; he couldn’t even last a round, then he stopped moving. I don’t know, a couple ochios and that was it for him, apparently.
He said, “I had to help a customer. I figured you’d just throw me all game anyway.” Huh?
More and more, I find that online play is just for kicks and the arcade is where I should be. Winners often send taunting messages and losers go into nerd rage and spam my inbox with obscenities. You just can’t win.
I thought the rage quits would end when i get to G1 but I was mistaken, a sagat and a viper player quit on me. the sagat quit with one more hit till he was dead. The viper was the funniest, he beat me the first round doing his wall dash moves, seeing that I a justed and started owning him in the second, in the middle of that round he somed moving and sent me a rage message “F**ing SPAMMER” I believe it was. Not sure what I was spamming though lol, only did like 6 yoga fires,I was mainly just sliding under his wall move and punishing him which is probably what he was refering to lol. Near the end of the final round he finally rage quitted and sent another rage message.
I love these rage messages because it is fun taunting them and getting even angrier responces. When I get home I might post the exchange along with his id. lol
It wasn’t a ragequit actually. I got the same message you did, figured your connection went out.
I lose to Balrogs all the time (and e.honda for that matter). I’m alright with losing.

Haha, I was reading through some of the ragequits because I think they’re funny, and I saw the name ‘Mob Da Boss’.
I used to run into him all the time in G1. He’s never ragequit on me, but after losing a few matches to my Dhalsim he messaged me like “Don’t ever join my game again. All you do is spam your retarded long arms. I’ll boot you if you try and play me again.”
First of all, if I can beat your Sagat with s.Fierce and j.Fierce, you suck SO much. But more importantly, how fucking embarassing is that message?! Like, “I don’t know the matchup so stop playing me.” Ha.

mikeywiggles203 on xbl, dunno if his GT has been mentioned in here yet (Or if he’s on this site). He sent me an invite while I was in training mode, and I played him for 2.5 matches. He uses the shittiest flowchart Ken imaginable (No combos, always ALWAYS srks) and randomly lags like hell. I assumed he saw my GT on this site or something, and once I realized how bad he was I thought I’d just sandbag and give him some pointers after a few matches… but then he D/Cs right after my Honda nearly perfected him just with tip range ochio and crossups.
I finally got a ragequitter the other night when I was about to finish the match with Akuma’s demon. I can’t say that I’m not amused because it doesn’t happen often to me.
I’ve had quite a few people tell me to never join their room again after I beat them with fuerte, and I get kicked out of lobbies a lot, but very rarely do I get ragequits.
VOCAM4. 18% disconnect!!! Quit on me after I almost perfected his Sagat in the 1st round of the 1st championship match with my Honda. 18%!!! Are you f-ing kidding me?!
Disclaimer - I only played this loser because I hit the ready button while not looking at the screen. By the time I looked up and saw his percentage, it was too late.

What is everyone’s “threshold” for not playing someone based on their disconnect rate? Mine is like 4% depending on how impatient I’m feeling. If you have 4% disconnect rate and a five bar connection… I’ll play you just because you have a five bar connection, but I’ll mentally prepare myself for a rage quit. 5% or higher and I won’t play.
My reasoning is that I have 0-1% disconnect rate and have never exceeded 1%. Most of my disconnects are from when a friend invites me to a room and I accidentally accept before it saves. I also got one or two from the connection crapping out. To have even 3% disconnect rate you must regularly ragequit or have a really shitty connection, both of which are reason enough to not play in my opinion.
I never play ranked, but today I did…and Goddamn, A LOT of people quit. Its unreal, why are people so immature and so bad at the game (They spam one thing) and when they loose they quit… It annoys me badly. Although the quitting itself doesn’t bother me, its that they can’t play normally and take the loss like a maang >:D
