I accept them anyways. One or Two bars. If the game is unplayable, then I simply do what someone else on this forum suggested: just Rate the player as “To Avoid” by giving him a “Lacks Skill” rating. It’s invisible to his Rep or the XBL watchdogs, but it makes him an avoided player in the future.
Since I’ve started doing that, I’ve had much less one-two bar connections come up on challenge screens. Of course, there are those “questionable” connections that are just peachy at first, 3-5 bars, then mysteriously, it gets bad all of a sudden. :rolleyes:
At one point, it got so bad, I thought it was me. Ran tests on my connection speed and line. Both were fine. I reset my router and re-did the NAT port forwarding for the Xbox. So far so good. But yeah, freaky shit like that… You’re getting avoided. Sorry.
Same thing happened to me a week ago. My TE stick’s RT Button/HK for me just stopped working for a few minutes. So far it’s fine now. But I was pissed. Oh yes. I just finished out the round in PPP style.

what’s with these players making these statements about “honor”, “respect” and “diversity”? I don’t get why some people feel that you need to play by their rules; keep them out of the corner (which they usually do on their own), or get pissed at when you punish their whiffed moves. I am grateful that SFIV helped to revive mainstream interest in fighting game, but at the same time – there’s a boatload of players out there who just don’t have the right attitude and lack the ability to behave like a true sport win/lose.

The only thing I find not cheap, but INCREDIBLY boring are people who jab you once or twice then run away for the rest of the match

Got a RQ from “DONOMAR999” in ranked on PSN last night.
The only problem I see with this is if some poor sap gets called out for a genuine disconn. Ive had matches where there was a disconnection toward the end of round 2 I was about to win, but I am pretty sure he didnt disconn, because he was in mid attack. Unless disconners have gotten so good at their art they can manage to play the game while disconning.
Im guessing they want to keep their W/L ratio positive? But to my knowledge you can’t see an opponents W/L ratio, so…since only you can see your win loss ratio, rage quitting still takes the point out of it since you know your W/L ration is falsified by your DC’s. Unless they like to post pics of their uber W/L ratio online. Nowadays you can even pad that legitimately by playing ranked. After I had played championship for awhile, I went to play ranked for a bit and went on a 16 game win streak before I stopped. Ranked seems to be made up completely of beginners now.
