What the shit??? I just got disconnected when my opponent (soIGL on XBL) landed his Ultra on me… This is the 2nd time in one week this happens, just when the Ultra is finishing, the game disconnects. And it’s not my opponent (that would be stupid) cuz he’s still online and so am I.

I sent him a message for a rematch, but this is BOGUS!! Anyone else experience this or other “random” disconnects?
Oh yeah. It happens on occasion for me. The worse part is most players can’t tell a RQ from a random lost signal. Are you using a wired or a wireless connection?
Wired… I’ve done the tests already. Router and connection are fine. My line is fine. To East coast my ping’s at about 21ms on average (longest is 80ms). To West coast it’s 128ms average (max is 891ms). My connection is rated better than average. NAT settings for XBL are Open (TCP/UDP 3074, TCP/UDP 53, TCP 80, UDP 88).
On a side note, my stick just completely died on me in my last match. I couldn’t walk or jump, just punch and kick. I finally got it to come alive as my opponent figured something was wrong (I was just standing there gesticulating like an idiot). Could that be it?
I was repeating the last input I tried as he connected with the Ultra (Akuma’s 3P teleport). I’ve heard of people saying that mashing on the start button causes desynchs, but this is the first time I’ve seen a command input cause one. Dat’s foktop!
I’ve had a ton of problems with my game disconnecting just before getting back to the menu screen. The match finishes, I lose (usually) my BP but still get more dings against my disconnect rate.
Exact same thing happened to me on a finals match between my Fei and (forgot his PSN ID…Kim something)'s Ryu. At least you were able to punch/kick. I was only able to neutral jump. Only twice. Ryu eventually figured out something was wrong and patiently tortured me to near death until I finally came alive with only 5% health remaining. 
Have to laugh about it though. The second Fei came back from limbo, Ryu psychic dps him on reaction.
Edit: Funnier that I’m using a PS3 and Venom’s on XBox.

Yeah, well actually, my opponent started wailing on me, and then just backed off for a few seconds (I guess to see what I was going to do), then noticed I was just stuck in place, so he waited.
I sent him a msg afterwards letting him know that my stick died and I appologized for it.

I was getting beat pretty sound last night against a guy’s viper in the first round and then it disconnected. I thought “great, watch me end up in this thread”. He later messaged me saying I was lucky his connection crapped out. I responded “okay, well at least you know I didn’t rage quit” hahahaha
Maybe they’re training their siblings and/or children and/or pets to turn off their machine at their command…?

I don’t understand why people drop in CE mode… seriously. Kameleon dropped on me when he was about to lose. He would have still gotten 50+ gps! WHY DID HE DROP!!! Not only did he not get the points, he erased all his progress so he has to start all over again from the 1st round. What an idiot.
Yeah, it’s just a punk ass bitch move. It’s a lose lose and pathetic. I’ve actually had some scrubs here on SRK try to justify their rage quits in CE.
