The other day I got disconnected during a championship match I was losing and my opponent messaged me with "too much?"
I felt really bad and messaged them back saying it was an accident, i’m so embarrassed, sorry, etc… expecting a reply of “YA RITE LOSR” but instead I found this in my inbox:
“sorry dude. i had someone DC on me in the finals and it drove me nuts! lol. thanks for being cool about it”
Made me feel nice because I honestly felt bad about the disconnect.

maki87, dc’d after i landed my ultra to win a championship.

Edit: As this guy jumped towards my, i jab DP’d him and juggled with ultra. as the animation started, I said “You picked the wrong time to do that buddy”. Right as the first hit of the ultra was connecting, DROP!!
It was a max-stock ultra too, as i had lost about 60% lifebar and i had FA’d a bunch of attacks. Maki87 is NOT COOL.
Another one bites the dust! User named costaman on Xbox Live was playing Sagat against my Akuma. In the first round, he got me down to about 5% health while he was at around 50%. But one errant jump over my standing FB later while I had full Ultra meter… And that’s how I got my little “U” icon for a 1st round win.
Then in the 2nd round, I had an answer for every move he threw at me and I was on my way to a possible perfect round when this happens…

I can vouch for not fighting maki87. I fought his Vega using Gen and he spammed wall dives and grabs…he won with about 30% of his health left. I went for a rematch and picked Guile vs. Vega (two worst characters). I quickly dispatched him and before I landed the final flash kick, the disconnect screen comes up.

I didn’t have a disconnection issue/connection issue complaint per se with this next guy, but I didn’t see a thread for people who quit after one match when they are HIGHLY skilled.
In this case, add wcgalo on XBL. It’s happened two days in a row. He picks Chun, I pick Gen. He beats me the first match, and I rematch. Then I beat him with Gen. He then quits after that one.
Yesterday, I fought him again. Gen vs. Chun…I beat him one match (again, he’s a got a pretty good Chun) and he leaves instantly. I go for a rematch in another room and he boots me.

He’s like the 3rd or 4th Chun player that quit on me or disconnected when they were about to lose. People seem to be very sensitive about losing with her.
Is it just me, or does it seem like the majority of rage quitters play as blanka or dictator?
It would be neat if Capcom can create a chart of DC% cross referenced with character usage percentage :lol:
Was just playing ShadowRaider2k on 360… Rufus (me) vs his Sagat. first round I played semi cautiously and won, but second round i threw caution to the wind and ended up getting him stunned, which made me LOL literally (1100 stun, 2nd only to zangief/tied with honda). As i commenced the Final Combo Solution on him he ragequit. Wow. Interestingly though that’s the first time I have ever gotten a stun on a Sagat… it isn’t prudent to really be so offensive as a Rufus as to get a stun versus him.
Regarding stunning a high stun opponents… I was able to stun Giefs (1200) a few times with Cammy =). I get lots of satisfaction from those :lol:
Wow, lol… it’s kind of frustrating for me to play those kinds of people though really. it’s ludicrous that these mortals even attempt to enter my realm. They just waste my time as I feel their muscle tissue collapse under my force.
Also, aes1974 on XBL needs to be added to that list as well. He’s too old to be ragequitting.
I still don’t understand WHY people have to quit when they are losing or about to lose?? I mean so what if you lose? It’s ONLY A GAME for crying out loud lolz. That is just saaaad stuff. Even though my Discnt % says 5% I still haven’t quit any game. it’s the damned PSN. I’m on the Comcast network and i hate it when it disconnect during a game.
