Ragequitters be damned - The Bads Loser Wall of Shame

I can’t actually play the game online but in the past when i played madden online the community policed itself. After a while rage quitters were well known and they were just ostracized.

i have been having the “i didn’t quit you did” but my connection is good (on my end) and i don’t ever quit even when lag is at it’s worst and it’s almost a stand still, but its really funny when i was winning and they say that, it like REALLY!!! what would make me drop if i was winning? (i know smartass’s a bad connection, which i don’t have) but anyways yeah lot it wasn’t me it was you lately…

yea, I’ll take a loss sometimes if I’m really not in the mood to chase akuma down. I’ll just stay on my side of the screen and block/neutral jump the fireballs to take up as much of their time as possible. Success for me then becomes surviving until time runs out. Usually though, I’ll try to chase em down and kill em. I don’t always win and when I don’t, I usually compliment their “run-away” game in a backhanded way.

I also had a weird match the other day where the guy just kept doing fierce srks over and over again… Rather than play for real, I just kept blocking and then retaliating with a single jab. He eventually killed me via chip damage, before my single jabs could kill him… I suppose anytime I wanted I could’ve substituted a combo for waaay more damage but… I dunno, jabbing him repeatedly just felt right, even though in the end I “lost”

…Man.

Snide comments should be the deciding factor at Evo, too.

You can easily answer this question by yourself with the following formula:

Did i get angry? Yes = Ragequit/No = see question below
Did i get bored? Yes = boredomquit?/No = why did you quit? see question below
Was i (probably) unable to beat his tactic? Yes = Ragequit/No = see question below
Was i (probably) able to beat his tactic, but couldn’t be bothered? Yes = boredomquit?/No = look at above questions again real hard cuz the answer is in there

ii dident reely need an answer to the question…jus wondering what other ppl think about this situation…it definatly was a boredomquit imo

I really don’t even draw the distinction, it just ends up getting used for people who obviously rage quit, like Engineer2Perform.

If Akuma was really “un-catachable” everyone would be using him. If your enemy did what you wanted him to do there would be no point to the game. If you want guaranteed high energy games then make a “we all have to hold forward all the time” Street Fighter 4 league.

im not making any excuses or anything…i may have won and i may not have…i just think these matches are pointless so i quit. i could see if ppl did this in a ranked game or something just to win…all i was wondering is does this happen to other people.

i have also done this on some reely booring dahlsims.

You answered your own question! “RAGE” quit.

that’s street fighter man. unless you are playing great players you’ll have akuma players jumping backwards throwing that purple air fireball, dhalsim players sending the fire and then jumping back with fist, blanka players walking backwards waiting to spinny ball, m bison players jumping on your head, zangiefs using the lariat and throw all match

the worst is guile players because whatever flow chart strategy they use, it’s not even that good.

not saying one’s right and one’s wrong, but quitting in games like madden online is much worse than games like street fighter because madden people invest more time in an online match. playing half an hour and having some one quit is different than having someone quit after 1 minute.

How come no one commented on MY Raging Demon DC picture? I think mine is funnier and I even got the guy’s name and posted it first and no one cares.

:frowning:

sweeeeeet picture duuude!!..happy now? lol

You know, you don’t have to chase him with Guile, even if he runs away.

Well timed booms can be put out so he lands on them, and with that puny health bar, it will only take a few of those for him to decide to change tactics.

You have to jump over his red fireball, but you can neutral jump and have a charge when you land.

Once you put that pressure on him, he will have to come to you, and then your flash kick will own him. Also, the FK is a great answer if he ever uses a teleport that lands near you.

Try this stuff next time you are Guile and someone runs away with Akuma…its better to try new tactics than to be bored.

well godamnit! you have inspired me!! i do need to work on timing my booms…i just need to practice guile more i guess

not only does he ragequits, he lag switches too.
check out my match against him.

what a dick!

He finally got the hint that quitting was getting him noticed so now he lag switches hoping to not be as obvious. Good job catching him

It’s pretty sad people actually have to resort to these devices for the sake of protecting their egos.

Nice Balrog by the way.

I am not entirely convinced that he used a lag switch. Just looks like a normal lag spike to me.

I agree, I see no clear evidence that the lag was deliberate…and lag usually benefits the attacker, and he was clearly on defense when the lag started.

I’m not saying you are wrong, I am saying there is no PROOF.
