when i ‘ragequitted’ (more like strategy quitting for me) i did it that way. it’s not worth the time to do it anymore than a few times.
i don’t support ragequitting. i got my trophy. it’s in the past now.

this game reely needs a function where you can see the other guy…then you could whatch them RAGE!

You’re fucking kidding right? “Hate speech” is a pretty specific thing, so shut up about that now and forever. Anyway, you did it to farm an achievement, so whatever. That really doesn’t bother me that much. Anyway, when you have enough frustration about something people do this is the response you’re going to get, I don’t even see why you brought up this tidbit since you’re not a career rage quitter, everyone isn’t going for the achievement.
I actually think it’s worse to ragequit if you’re going for the achievement. Who cares about achievements, and do you really feel good about having the stupid trophy knowing that you cheated to get it? At least the people who are ragequitting are genuinely mad and are doing it to piss the other person off rather than going after a meaningless trophy. Just my two cents, it’s really not that big of a deal. As long as it only happens occasionally, I actually somewhat enjoy it when people ragequit on me. Means I must have done something right.
i care about the trophy and i feel good even though i cheated. i like to collect trophies and i felt that one is poorly designed because it’s not in a controlled environment (online difficult varies) and capcom at least on PSN does a poor job of matching up opponents. I am around 150 ranked wins now and i still haven’t won 10 in a row since i got the trophy.
i need 506 wins to get the other titles. that’s going to take a long time.

to me disconnecting for the 10 wins in a row is no different than spamming zangief’s lariat in the hard survival trials. i just exploited the game. i won 10 matches, i just had to skip a few other matches. cheating is a term in video games i’d only use if you boost your gameplay via a code built in the game or a device like a gameshark. I played NBA 2k series with a guy who would tap pause during my free throws when i had a big lead. It’s a game, I didn’t wish his mother was dead or anything, I just did the same to him.
to get the silver trophy by winning on hardest i had to use a player 2 controller to interrupt the match so i could make sure to win with all the requirements. if i remember i had to reset a couple matches to make sure i got a perfect and to get first hit etc
like i said once and i’ll say again, it’s my game and i’ll do with it as i so please. if you don’t like it, tough. i’ve had matches disconnect randomly more than 10 times. matches that either just started or were in neither persons favor. that’s not a lot compared to how many matches i’ve played, but i’m just saying a disconnect in a nonchampionship match is not that big a deal.

Honestly, if you just wanted to “exploit the game” to get the 10 ranked wins in a row, you should’ve just hooked up with a like-minded friend and agreed to trade 10 wins off each other. That way, you’re absolutely not affecting anyone else with your shit.
i quit on a dude today just because it was the most booring match ever…i had it set to 5 rounds in an open player match so i could practice my guile a bit…i played a dude who used akuma and right off the bat he starts the whole jump back air fireball, ground fireball spam…and whenever i close distance he teleports to the other side of the screen…after the first round i just droped the controler…who wants to chase a the guy around the screen for 5 rounds?.. its such a stupid cheasy tactic! and why spam that garbage in a player match??
we hate mail back and forth a bit and he tells me hes gona school ma a little about the game “akuma and the fireball people are for far away. Zangief and the no fireball people are for up close”…lol
anyways is that a rage quit or a boorquit?? anyone else run into this problem?
