I had some ass try this on me the other night so i just stood there. I thought he was busy with something else so I waited for him to start fighting again and eventually he did but he didn’t put up a fight. Very lame.
The only thing worse than losing to a scrub is giving up to one. You’ll get no sympathy from me on that one. You may as well quit out at that point. If a “scrubby” player beats you to the point where you refuse to fight, then YOU my friend are the scrub and not the other way around.
Sorry, that was little mean. I was just a little sensitive from that match. I couldn’t believe that the player would just give up and stand there. It pissed me off so much that they wouldn’t even give me the respect to keep fighting.
I’ve won plenty of matches where I pulled it out with close to no life left and went on to win the next round as well. That’s one of the best things about this game, you never know what’s going to happen.
To put it much more eloquently, you never know who is going to prove the old axiom today! :wgrin:
I’ve had that a couple of times where the other player doesn’t play. I tend to think that that could easily just be their real life getting in the way - But I know what you mean, I don’t know why, but it does seem like they do it on purpose sometimes.
But yeah, I don’t fight against a standing opponent, When the guy’s just standing there, I wait around a little while dancing my character about, then just quit out myself. I would rather do that than beat an opponent that’s doing nothing. Normally though, while I’m waiting for them, they’ve quit out from their end.
Errr Novastorm, not really sure what you were talking about there. If you’ve just stood there and waited for the other guy to pull the pug, you won’t end up with a “ragequit” pic because you hadn’t beaten him down first.
I’m wondering if disconnections at the medal screen is worth putting up on the blog?
Was a bit suspicious when I bet him and he had 10k bp and when I noticed he just started up SFIV again (Have pictures).
Then this guy blamed it on lag and called me a scrub though.
Last, but most certainly not least, disconnecters, aka pullers, aka ragequitters, your days are numbered: If you disconnect during a match, the system will also dock you your progress in the tournament, so pullers will never be able to advance into the higher ranks of tournaments. What?s even more fun is that the system also happily displays your disconnect percentage, so if you’ve got a bad habit, it’s right there for everyone to see.
I was winning with my akuma vs ken and I picked the training stage and he was like through the mic, “what are you taking the piss? training stage? Im just going to win”
then I completely thrashed him.
Every time I went for a throw and it connected he was like through the mic “WHAT, I THREW FIRST” and whined every time I threw a hadouken. What a gimp.
WOW! i had a great time at my friends yesterday. he had 0 bp so I told em, lets take you through a quick walk. I was tearing people up, and surprise, even around the 300bp category, they have ragequitters.

So I just left my cursor on random select… I got Dhalsim, he had cammy.
I won, not too badly, but clean.
Next I random Viper. Im BAAAAAAD with viper… really bad…
I won.
then I randomed Sakura. Not that great with her, but dont matter, I won.
I think next I had Vega, i dont remember. I won again. then messaged him, Are you ready yet?
he said I sucked and had no skill and id never be on his level…

You know, come to think of it I at least never had anyone ragequit on me when I was going to get a perfect.
I got between 20-25 or so on ranked matches and theyve kept their manhood and took em.
Hell I got perfected 2-3 times. 1 of them I got perfect but still won the match.
The other, I fought the guy the next night and got my perfect back.
I have a couple of hours before I have to go out so decided to go online and play some SFIV. Played around 12 games and in every single game I received: “Connection has been lost bla bla bla”. During the first 10 I thought it was the other people d/cing on me considering I was actually winning but the it took me until the last 2 games, that’s when I faced a guy on my friends list, REALLY good player and I know for a fact he doesn’t d/c and I got the same result.
Tested my internet and yes, it is all from my side apparently. My internet is complete shit today that I can’t even finish 1 SFIV match. =(
My PSN is USF so if I faced any of you SRKers, besides SRK and a few people on Gamefaqs I couldn’t careless, I am deeply sorry for that happening, it was completely unintentional. First ever internet issue like this and I’m gonna have to call my ISP.
