To be fair though I never slandered the guys website, I only said that I thought it was a bad idea to give recognition to these losers. It’s often said that there is no such thing as bad publicity, 15 minutes of fame is 15 minutes of fame and these cheaters are probably just fine with that.
I in no way meant to belittle the work that the OP has done on that website because I for one know how tedious keeping something like that up to date can be.
If it’s useful to some people then that’s great, I just happen to think it gives attention where none is due.
Personally, I’m going to use the site from time to time and I’d rather be aware of the most renowned cheaters (well, the ones that happen to have been caught out a few times anyway) than unaware. I also enjoy the format of the site, it’s very amusing and, by including all submissions, it allows the browser to be subjective in deciding for himself which pictures are likely desperate “ragequits”.
Bad publicity/Good publicity? I don’t know, but I’m glad we get to know about them anyway. [for those who need it, this is a tongue-in-cheek tag] …Should we have left Hitler to get on with his dirty tricks quietly? Okay, Hitler didn’t want to be quiet, but then neither do the one’s cheating their way to leaderboard supremecy![/tongue-in-cheek]
Anyway, I’d rather have them exposed, whether they want to expose themselves or not (ahem!) …aaand, if we ever have the chance, I’d also like to see evidence of high ranking players’ points remaining stationary, even after several losses, as this would catch out the most sneaky cheaters - the lobby quitters.
I agree it will be a mammoth task to keep it going. I sincerely hope it does stay in some form and I wish Vanilla good luck.
Going slightly off-topic: I had to laugh while watching a friend of mine get rage-quitted on the other day. He could have won the match with no drop out if he didn’t decide to repeatedly taunt the guy on zero health. After the 8th or 9th pose, “connection has been lost”!! …oops! I had respect for the guy quitting to deny my show-off friend his battle points! …Would have made a funny video.

If the purpose of the list and website is to out those who are guilty and provide those who have to deal with the problem a little vindication, then I suppose I could never make a solid argument against it.

reading this thread, makes me think that i have been set up, today i was playing a match aganist a gief and on the 3rd round he got me with a focus>spinning pile driver i still had about 45% health(i could still fight back and win) then, as just the pile driver hits… disconnected.
and on the middle of the following fight i start to receive hate mail telleng me how *** i was by discinnecting.

Its like when I play my friend, he often disc right before I win. And I believe him because we used to always lose chat connection playing other kinds of games even. RL friend over 10 years. He thought I disc as a gag on him.
Slightly off-topic: Does anyone else wish that ragequits on HD Remix would show the culprit in the act instead of making the disconnect message take up the whole screen? I had some awesome ones yesterday and I wish I could have documented them.
