I would say that winning online is easy.
I hardly play C. Mode…but did it today…and I see why I don’t…really is a mess

All we need are some fusion earrings!
Disclaimer: I have one year of very dedicated play under my belt and I still get beaten pretty badly at tourneys (five so far). But I have great local comp and every month I am a much better player than the month before. Take this with the appropriate grain of salt.
Yeah, I disagree with “winning is easy” but I will say this: Capcom tuned this game so that very powerful techniques are very VERY accessible to new players with fairly low execution. They also tuned the game so that even if you have somewhat poor decision making, you will often win situations where you are guessing with these same moves.
That results in a situation where at the low and mid skill levels, its really REALLY easy to get lamed out by someone playing like a freaking idiot. We have all seen what I’m talking about.
The thing is though, that once you develop enough skill and patience you can easily beat these people whose whole game revolves around forcing you to guess which random nonsense they are going to throw out next.
I think that is what people mean when they say “winning is easy in sf4”…they mean that at low to mid level skill levels, its surprisingly easy to be beaten by utter nonsense.
Frankly, while I found that VERY annoying when I first started playing this game, I’m finally getting to the point where I can play safe enough and smart enough to overcome that bullshit.
I find it funny when people think they are hot shit online when they win through that bullshit you just described ^^
im debating on if playing champ mode is worth it.
A really shitty ken just RQ on me in player match, I don’t see what the difference is in what mode you play.
I semi-rage quit today, but it wasn’t out of rage. Got into a match, 1 bar (cause I spam ready) and it was too much. Threw a hado, got the chip and let him beat me. Didn’t want to go through the lagg.
not a rage quit but a hardcore connection lagger. first round it was slightly lagging nothing serious and he barely beat me. second round kicks in and BAMM so laggy my jab wouldent come out for like 5 seconds. then he shows up again he realizes i didnt pick balrog and picked sagat to have a easier time with the lag and he quits.

crisdubois23
ken vs sagat? wow! That’s SUPER rare!
HAHAHAHAHA!!! This isn’t a double-post, but I ended up fighting FILTHYSANDMAN again in a final tonight, and I gave the guy another chance! What a sad, sad player. I guess it’s true what they say, once a cheater, always a cheater, don’t be fooled! http://i45.tinypic.com/xd9e2d.jpg
i love when people ragequit, its almost more satisfying than getting the GP points!, its also very fun when people ragequit during a player match…lol?
i ragequit twice today as a result of a snowstorm. Sorry if it was you. I felt even worse b/c I was playing Sagat. is that irrational?
Another ragequitter to add to the list
His name on XBL is xxHHxx knocturnal. I was about to perfect him in the 2nd round and he disconnected.
Some from me:
This guy said he had a disconnection. AFTER I told him he’d be posted here. Not after my first message, but after the one in which I told him that I’ve taken a picture. I don’t know if it’s true. The game was almost perfectly lag-free, he did this desperate Ultra and an EX-GH woul’ve killed him. What a coincidence.
It’s up to you to decide.
I usually don’t post my quitters, but this one was too good to pass up on. I didn’t get a quit picture, but he sent me some messages after getting whooped by my Sakura.

I asked him how I was “spamming” with Sakura. His response… http://www.xfire.com/profile/connex07/screenshots/?ss_file=48078fb83a47352bbef52f27c150ba7041aabbc6.jpg
Gotta love Ryu scrubs…
Well this story is a little different. I got accused of rage quitting. This is how it went.
I play this Seth player, beat him in Ranked mode. I play him again, he won the first round and is close to beating me in the 2nd when the game DC’s. He accuses me of rage quitting, I say BS I didn’t rage quit and lets have a rematch and I’ll give him the first round just to make it fair. We didn’t get around to it until Sunday. Anyways, I’m hosting and he joins my game, I recognize him and like I said, I let him beat me for free in the 1st round and he got more meter out of it then me. But I come back to beat him in the 2nd and 3rd and took the set.
He joins my room again like 10 minutes later or so and I win the first round and am winning the 2nd by a little with only 13 seconds left. The game freezes on me and DC’s. He messages me asking if I rage quit because I stood still for like 3 seconds and then the game DC’s. I thought he was joking and say sure I didn’t want to win. He messages me again and he took me seriously and sounds mad. I tell him I thought we were joking and tell him why would I rage quit when I was so close to winning. After that he didn’t respond again.
Honestly WTF man? I went out of my way to show him I’m no rage quitter and I still get accused even when I’m winning? Well all I know is that my DC % is still at 0.
After the first couple of months were rage quitters were all over the place, people have gotten paranoid. I’ve been accused of rage-quitting because the connection dropped while I was winning and in the middle of a combo. I mean, what the what the?
Some people are just thick, shrug it off and move on.

And when I asked him why he rage quit like a bitch, I got this lovely reply…
