Rage quit hell exist in ultimate?

…who the fuck RQs against Haggar?

I am working on getting better though.

ok this is the 8th or so disconnect that the prompt has told me players who quit matches will be punished. Fucking game. I’m playing player match

MK level os disconnects right now

I do, which is why I need to start playing with friends, and spending more time in the training room.

There’s no working to get better at it. It’s be part of the solution or part of the problem.

Just fucking man up, take a loss and then shut your system down. Ragequitting and pulling the ethernet cord out just makes you a dipshit teenager. You’ll grow up and level up by accepting that you aren’t always going to win.

Just take your loss. Quitting doesn’t make you a better player and denies one who legitimately beat you the victory they earned.

the only time i “rage quit” was because i was raging at my only laggy match. i left before any characters died though. so, thats not a rage quit, its a fuck lag sorta thing and it wasn’t ranked. i dont know why im posting

That’s still a ragequit
If the connection is really that bad just leave after the first match.

it was the only match against the person and you can’t see them in lobbies, so what?
and by only laggy i mean legit my only laggy match after a night of about 50 matches. and i lost about 40 of those.
the last thing im afraid of is a loss.

i’m not defending myself saying its ok to leave someone hanging but when 10 seconds turn to 20 because of lag its not worth it.
also rage quitting is quitting because you are mad you are about to lose no?

Does anyone know if there is a penalty for getting DQ’ed from lobby matches?

Eh… if it’s a lobby match with a VERY sh*tty online connection (like you can’t even get through the starting introduction scene without it skipping and tearing) then I will test out my normals at the start of the match and if it’s obvious that it will be impossible to play effectively, I usually just go get a soda or sandwich and come back when it’s done and immediately leave. Same with player match. I haven’t played a ranked yet because unlike with vanilla where I went into training room like twice then thought I was pro, I know that I have to be fully confident and efficient before going into a match that counts so I haven’t done so yet in this version. HOWEVER, in Vanilla if I ran into a person who had a TERRIBLE connection to the point where I couldn’t even move, then I admit that I did RQ out immediately as playing the match would have been a waste of both of our times and nether of us whether win or lose would have earned that standing in the end.

Sorry if that offends anyone but to hell if my opponent or I get a loss on our records because of an element neither one of us have ANY control over.

i didn’t care too much about ragequitters until they stopped showing up in ‘people you met’ category. back in vanilla, i was at least able to track the user and either file a complaint and/or avoid the player.

now, you can’t do either, and if you search for their name only thing you can do is friend or message. wtf kind of stupid shit is that? dumbass god damn xbox fuks.

now i’m getting tons of people disconnecting on me.

There’s no penalty for DCing from anything in this game as best we can tell.

Also why are both of the self-admitted raqequitting bitches on the east coast AND on PSN, i.e. people I’m more likely to play. Go away.

Did ragequit hell even exist in Vanilla? Think the jury was still out on that one

No, it was a myth there was only one circle of hell in Vanilla MVC, and it was called “Online Mode”

All the “top” ranked players do this. Randoms do this, too. Played against a Japanese player who was 5-0 without a streak, which I thought was strange, then he dropped as soon as I won.

Just makes ranked more pointless than it is, imo. Sitting in training mode waiting for a Player Match gets you into matches a lot quicker and is a better way to level up since you’re playing a lot more matches in the long run.

this seems like a problem i see most often in LIVE. because on psn you still see your recent players on ranked and alike but you’re restricted from avoiding player and can only file complaints. I have yet to fight a rage quitter…yet

As a dipshit teenager i’m offended.

Funny, I thought they purposely did the system to were you couldn’t see who you just fought in Ranked (probably to tone down the number of rage-mail that floats around). I go into a Player (or Lobby) match and can see who all I met just fine from there.

So that whole player history mess in Ranked on Xbox Live is all glitched? Gadammit, would prefer it to stay as-is.

I rage quit pretty often in MvC3, only when 100% overmatched against techinques I have 0 idea how to counter, usually I take the time to read about how to respond etc
