1 round, 30 seconds. Makes it easy for the achievement. Otherwise, if you’re doing it for the pwnage, I wish you luck.

rachel v ragna suckkkkks ;_;

It does? I think Ragna is the one character I have 90%+ wins against. It just feels like all of his attacks are easier to identify what is coming high/low, so I never find myself taking much damage except if I get thrown.

That match up is going to be really difficult for you until you understand Ragna better. It was like that for me too for a while.

if it’s online ragna just keep doing 6B hahaha

anyway, i’m working on a quickie combo video so people have a better understanding of how the different combos work and stuff. Nothing crazy since that’s already been done, just basic stuff with notations and explaination.

Greetings all-

I’ve seen a move in a few combo vids that I have not seen explained and I’d like to know how to do it. The move looks like it spirals upwards and does multiple hits.

Here are some examples:

In this vid, it’s at :41

In MSY’s combo vid, he does the move at 2:46 and 4:53.

That move is this??

Thanks guys,

J

6C~9D

You start the 6C (spinning jump) and use the 9D to push yourself up with the opponent.

Thank you sir. I’ll practice some when I get home.

One more question:

When I am in the training room, I can do some combos that aren’t quick enough/just don’t work on someone if they do an air-recovery/tech. How can I set the dummy to automatically block after the first hit and also tech ASAP in the air so I know I am practicing combos that are reliable?

Thanks again,

J

There is a “block after first hit” option in the training mode menu

Right, I have that set but the training dummy isn’t doing an air tech when available. That means I can bounce them around a lot longer than I normally would. I’d like the training dummy to air/ground tech-roll ASAP so I can work on timing my combos so they can’t be tech’ed out of.

J

So is that notation preferable to 6C+D? I use that and get the 20+ hits in the

B, 6C+D, j.C, B, 6C+D combo

On that note, half the time I try to land 6C+D, I just get a wind-dash (with no attack) and not the spinny-slashy attack thingy.

Am I supposed to press C&D at the same time or quickly go from C~D while holding 2 (or dashing)?? I have tried it several ways and have yet to get it right consistently.

J

I have gotten the wind only effect with 6C+D on occasion. Not enough to switch to C~D though. I think we get only wind if we do it too early after the 5B.

Don’t take that reason as fact though only speculation on my part.

How to break Noel’s combos

I’m having trouble getting out of Noel spamming her drive combos. It seems I’m not fast enough to hit in the middle or she’s invincible. Do I just have to learn to block the high/low mixup until she’s finished the combo?

Electric chair. Or throw. Really.

5b -> 6c~d

also works off of george for big scary punishes.

Dead or Alive FTW. 80’s music was the best…

Thanks for the info guys. I’ll test shortly.

ok i finished that video, hopefully it’ll help some people out… it’s big though, i gotta compress it before iupload it i think

I use 6CD when referring to the horizontal version, and 6C~9D when referring to the upwards-diagonal one, since you have to change your directional input.
