I agree that her AA were really strong. The new TC just blatantly seems like something they gave her last minute so that people couldn’t say she only got nerfs and received no buffs…

TC is also identical to Karin’s.

Only place where I think it will be useful is when they are trying to jump back in the corner. Otherwise I don’t see it as something significant. Perhaps you can do F.HP then reset with cr.MP and go right or left since the popup will be quite high. Might get a cross under or not side switch mixup off of that.

People don’t jump at Mika that much anyways. They usually neutral jump or jump back. We already have wingless airplane and walk up cr.MP for that.

Yea…im thinkin he misread some data…or pethaps Level 2 buff is 75 frames and whoever the author of said data mistakenly believed the first buff doesnt kick in till the soundwave

At least it sounds like something that could be more viable to use now, with the armor buff.

The jab > TC is indeed something I think we’ll be doing a lot now.

Let me see, servers are down now so I can’t show you, but last time I used this I made a Nash teleport and try to hit me from above, blocked that hit, the mic hit him. just an example.

By the way, I got the update, no online but offline you can go into training. No wall bounce is real and I miss it so much already. the air trigger combo is interesting, MP>HP and gets a good hard knockdown with a clear advantage to Mika to do whatever she wants. Opponent doesn’t drop too far.
And MP does indeed connect to MK now. shows as 2 hit combo. Dunno what to do after that. Brimstone can be looped easily in the corner and possible midscreen.
To corner carry: if you do the clap and call Nadishko, instead of ending with EX WIngless, it is easier now to end with EX Peach than before. Just delay it a bit and the second hit connects better than before. Just note that Wingless is a grab so if you have buff maybe you want to do that and get the damage/kill instead of the corner carry.

That’s just what I quickly got out of 5 minutes, I got work to do so I can’t lab this just yet. But I thought I’d share.

Oh, V-Skill doesn’t stack, but the damage you get if you reach level 2 is insane.

What could they do to make VSkill useful? Maybe if she could V-Skill off her lk>mp target combo?

Nah, just make it a bit faster to complete. As it is right now some characters can full screen punish the move. The only safe time to use it right now is when the opponent is dazed, and you only get 1 tap. The threat of extra charge tiers is a complete myth.

These midscreen options after Irish Whip still work:
EX Shooting Peach = Damage, corner carry.
cr.LK = Resets. Does this only work off reverse whip?
H Shooting Peach = No damage but positions you near opponent and corner carry.
f+VT, walk up f+HP, Wingless = Max damage?

This midscreen shenanigan still works:
HP xx f+VT, f+MK, (nadeshiko hit) njLK = reset, switches sides.

Also Brimstone dashup meaty still seems intact.

This was my suspicion after looking at the patch notes (I think f+MP~MP alone might have received more nerfs than some characters did in their entirety) and after spending a bit of time with her in training mode it is indeed pretty bad. The three…interesting (?) buffs she received (+more on hit for cr.MK and s.MP, new TC) already seem kind of useless. s.MP being able to link into f+HP on CH only matters if you’re already up your opponents ass, otherwise it doesn’t reach (damage nerf on f+HP is also appreciated -_-). Same for cr.MK being able to link into cr.LP. Air TC seems like a gimmick but I’ll withhold final judgment on this seemingly superfluous addition to the character for a while. s.LP being able to link into TC is nice but again range is a real issue here.

I can confirm: her new tc is ass! Fun look wise, but very situational.

It doesn’t seem so bad to me. She still has shenanigans, just a bit less damaging. The nerf to reversals across the board helps a lot I think…

I was talking with friend that said s.LP had more hit stun and could get more things off counter hit with it.

They should have made st.lk a low and let her get a small confirm off body splash. Imo that would have made up somewhat for what she lost…she really got hammered tbh…

It went from +3 on hit to +4. Well on counter-hit she can combo into TC. Wait! She can do that on normal hit. What about s.MP? She could already do that. Well now that s.LP is +4 on hit and +6 on CH she could combo directly into f+MP. Oh wait, nope that move is 8f startup now. Yeah, in terms of her options the changes to s.LP opens up one new combo on route (s.LP, s.LK, s.MP xx MP Peach), opens up nothing new on counter-hit and starts up 1f slower than it used to. Color me unimpressed.

I would have preferred more useful changes to cr.MK. Make it either hit low, be special cancelable or both. Ideally both.
