Wouldn’t st.LK also do all of this ? On meaty you could do st.LK, cr.LK,cr/st LP into peach. That is my go to sequence now. I also use F.HP on hardknock downs or after throws.
Yeah, you could always st.MP into HP peach.
So what you are saying is that there is slightly more distance after brimstone recovery between Mika and her opponent. If Rainbow Typhoon works then am guessing an EX Brimstone should also work from that distance.
I posted this elsewhere but might as well post it here too. These changes kill off her midscreen pressure, damage and stun. So she is now completely reliant on corner vortex. I can see Mikas taking huge risks and doing anything possible to keep the opponent’s back to the corner. Could be an interesting mini-game.
This means a nerf in terms of Passion press recovery (on hit) ?
In season 1 if you do a Passion press (midscreen) > HK WA, even if the opponent quickrise, you are in frame advantage.
It might be yes. I think anyway that WA after midscreen passion press is the way to go now. Your opponent will have to guess which version you chose and if they’re wrong they’ll get cornered even more.
So far, so many false report and nobody knows. My main fear is that Lady Mika got nerfed. That means wakeup upercut no longer an option you can rely on. However, Alex uppercut is now godlike. Capcom never made sense with these patches and they should really not bother in many case. They will understand how much they nerf her in season 2 and they will buff her again in season 3.
They better not changing her health, but you know what, I would not be surprised.
Anyway, I call this a witch hunt and nothing else. DP users were complaining and we got the shaft. Every characters get new combo and mixups… however Mika is losing a big part of her mechanics. Don’t lie to yourself, she is now bottom tier.
Clap is now garbage at best unless in a corner and during a punish.
Anyway, clap is slower, that means:
No more punish after cr.hk
No more st.mp clap combo
No more slap clap to punish jumps
Vega: No more punish after rolls
Cammy: No more punish after drill
Ryu: No more punish after tatsu, hadoken and TC
Ken: Same as Ryu
Chun-li: No more punish after multiple kicks
Karin: No more punish after uppercut and hand swing move
On and on…
The only option now is doing command grab for punishes which is killing pressure in the wrong situation.
All the reports coming from me are 100% true since I tested them myself on the beta with precise tools (Frame Trapped).
Lady Mika looks completely unchanged in its frame data. I still have to see if they changed the hitboxes but I doubt it.
I don’t think they changed the timing of the irish whip. Capcom is not smart enough to play Mika and know about the HK WA setups. It’s a tight window but I don’t think it’s not working anymore unless they put more recovery on WA.
