She thick asf. Actually looks like she can throw people around, instead of being real thin. I got sold on her immediately and I was completely apathetic to her getting in before.
For a Japanese fighting game character sheās pretty thick. Sheās not as thick as like some girls youāll find in America (that have bodies that just arenāt seen in fighting games), but thick enough.
On another note, I canāt be the only one who wants to know what R. Mikaās been up to all this time since Alpha 3, story-wise.
Like, has she been forgotten in the wrestling/street fighter scene all this time? It would be kind of cool if her story starts out that sheās washed up, maybe she lost a serious match and disappointed her fans, maybe Yoko Harmageddon has passed away or something since Alpha 3.
I mean, SF has never had the best story, but with Mika they could at least have fun with it and even poke fun at her detractors a little bit as her being this has-been thatās trying to make a name for herself again.
I hope itās the opposite, actually. In Alpha 3 she got into street fighting to promote and train herself before she could make it big. In SFV, sheās cutting promos, has a full time partner (which she had before I guess), and seems way more confident and crowd friendly than she was in Alpha 3 before she beat Zangief and got that confidence boost.
Also consider that in the comics El Fuerte is a huge fan of hers. Sheās on television wrestling, thereās a lot of merchandising going on. She definitely made it big like she planned.
What her impetus is for getting back into street fighting, though, I canāt say, but I donāt think itāll be because sheās washed up. The way she holds herself and acts indicates thatās as far from likely as possible. Her and Nadeshiko are way too oiled as an ass-whoopinā machine for her to be down on her luck.
No need to bring a bright and upbeat character like her down when we already have edgy McFrankeNash and Cannibal Lord Necalli on the roster.
*With R. Mikaās return in Street Fighter V, many assumed Takeuchi was invited back to resume her previous duties due to the similarities of the voice used in promotional materials. Furthermore, folks were also led to believe Maile Flanagan, who is perhaps best known as Narutoās voice actor in the English localization, was brought on board to bring R. Mika to life in North America.
While all of this could have added up to a pretty fun story (especially with the similarities between R. Mika and Narutoās childish Oiroke no Jutsu), details provided to us by Capcom confirm that our ears may not be as good as we think. According to this new information, Hiromi Igarashi has been employed to voice R. Mika in Japanese while Bonnie Gordon is handling English duties. Arc System Works fans may recognize Igarashiās work in Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, where she voices newcomer Jack-O.*
