So is Mika’s Fierce xx Super all about speed and perfect execution? No shortcuts or anything? I’m either too slow or I cancel into her command throw, which shows I’m not completing the super motion before I hit the P for the super.
You can do the following imput: d, db, b+hp , d, db, b+ any punch.
Just make sure to start with d. If you start with df then you Will get special throw instead of the first st hp.
WOW I was not aware : Another part of the move that tends to annoy people is that this move is easy to option select with. Similar to the Ken option select we talked about a few weeks ago, you can hit towards+MP, delayed MP in a way that the passion press followup will come out on hit but not on block
started practice the OS. not so easy but yes it exist. going spam that passion press more
as a mika player you should learn that OS ( fmp wait then f.mp) I practice with random guard and see it I get the timing right.
Thanks for the assist. That made a hella difference. Now I just need to control my execution more and keep the control from hitting the forward motion.
Also, that OS looks sick. Gonna try it.
too hard its gonna get me killed the one time i mess it up so i dont bother lol
No so hard, better do it very late so that at worst you don,t convert your random F.mp
A small video I just made with some Anti V reversal I am using. In the video I use cr.lp, but In my gameplay I use all those set up after a meaty F+HP when opponents wake up.
let me know what you think.
Found a funny new (i hope) ambiguous setup in the corner.
after passion press into wall bound:
-d.HP, vt, jump forward, cross up (j.lk)
-delayed d.HP, vt, jump forward, NOT cross up (j.hp)
not insane or anything, just another way of messing with their minds
I’ve been practicing this Hameko set-up im sure you’ve all seen
turns out that it only works on a crouching opponent because Nadeshiko will hit later so you have enough time to combo your jump in. I figured this out after many many tries of trying to hit it on a standing opponent.
during this trial and error i found out that sometimes when i cross under Karin she get hit crouching so i can do the rest of the combo. And it turns out that when you reset them in the air with cr.mp they land crouching and stand back up. so with a well timed st.mp you can get the rest of the combo regardless if they try to block with downback or just back.
idk if you all already knew that but its new to me and i wanted to share in case. lol
video evidence
Edit: i forgot to add that if you miss time it and you hit them standing after the cr.mp reset you can do st.mp, st.mp, dash forward, walk forward for a bit (until a bit after Nedeshiko hits), st.mp, irish whip.
if st.mp combos after Nedeshiko but not irish whip then you need to walk forward a bit more.
it wont stun unless you jump in with something before resetting them but youll be close.
s.mp, s.hp, nadeshiko hit, dash f.mp xx whip is more damage and stun
Neat anti-Chun Ree trick you can try.
Get a knockdown, do slide and cancel into V-Trigger, you don’t have to cancel but if you want to be safe you have to, and it beats the bitche’s fooking EX Spinning Bird and 3 frame jab. Dunno how terribly useful it is but I thought it was good shiz.
Chun Ree needs nerfs or Mika needs buffs.
small tech, for a guaranteed super against character with no DP, ca, or invulnerable ex move.
Would a throw invincible move such as Gief’s EX SPD beat that setup?
yes it should.
I will test to see what happen.
During stunfest, I see Fuudo going for this setup a lot:
- Do any move that moves you near and causes a lot of blockstun e.g cr.hp
- Cancel to V Trigger (forwards, hold)
- cr.lk, f+mk, dash forwards
- neutral jump baiting a throw and coming down with hp>nadeshiko combo
Of all the times he tried it during the tourney, he manages to connect it every time. Question is, what happens if the opponent do anything other than try and tech throw? What if the opponent shoryukens, or mash jab, jump, backdash or just blocks? Is there an answer to those options using this setup?
Example:

I also see him going for cr.mp a lot as part of blockstrings, even though the opponent is not jumping. What’s up with that? Isn’t that move minus on block?
Most normals/specials the opponent can do after the f+MK is blocked and then R Mika dashes up, would get hit by Nadeshiko (or otherwise you would have to stop attacking to block it). If you KNOW that’s what the R Mika is doing you can try and throw the dash on prediction, but as you can see in the videos you’re more likely to throw whiff if you try it on reaction. It’s a very solid setup.
cr.MP is only -1 at point blank. It’s active for 4 frames so it can go up to +2 on block, and anything other than point plank is at least 0 on block (which is better than most her block string options). It’s a tricky block-string option because it moves you forward and the fact that it can whiff isn’t the worst thing in the world, as people often wait for a st.LK > st.MP confirm or st.MP/f+MP confirm before they try and escape. I’m a fan of cr.HP and cr.MP used occasionally to mix it up instead of always going for some form of jab or MP.
Here’s a video to help condition some of you into landing cr.HP into a combo. The trick is to take 2 complete steps it’s pretty strict. Won me a match today so its a good tool to have, specially since it will normaly counter hit and I believe you can MP after the LP but I forgot to check.

So Fuudo is always doing C.MP to blow up throws and counter with LP LP Peach.
COOL!
