rip dasrik. i am in utter shock of him passing away…i read along time ago he had some kind of illness but i never knew what it really was…wow man.

never met the guy but his posts were intelligent and funny. srk will miss you.

That is fucked up. Good guy. RIP

I didn’t know Dasrik personally. I just knew him from his posts. But from what I read, he was a very smart person and he was a straight shooter.

Can’t say nothing else but the fact that he was a real fighter. He just fought it and lived to his fullest. Never seemed to get down about it. He just thoroughly enjoyed whatever time he had left. He was a good person and after reading Viscant and Zulu’s posts, seems like he was a really great guy all around. Wish I could have met him when I was in Cali in 2k7, but sadly it wasn’t meant to be.

He’ll be missed. Clean slate in the afterlife with no more pain. You’re finally at rest. R.I.P. Dasrik.

R.I.P Dasrik, Sometimes when I see certain members post, I would ignore them based on username, but he was one of the few I would take the time to read because it was always entertaining and good.

I’ll miss his defense of Sailor Moon and Zatch Bell too, among other things.

R.I.P. Dasrik. Condolences goes out to his friends and family.

I remember talking to him in the early 2000’s about MVC2 talking about some strats here adn there on mIRC. I enjoyed all his input and his contribution to the fighting game community. Although I didn’t get to meet him in person, I only know the Dasrik that I spoke to over on mIRC and he seemed to be a really cool guy. He also spoke a lot in SRKGD where he had some really entertaining and hilarious posts and threads. He will be missed and never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Dasrik.

RIP, great member of the community gone.

daaamn

RIP Dasrik

It is sad to hear the death of anyone, let alone a fellow SRKer. Dasrik is one of the few true OGs on this site, and his contributions will not be forgotten.

My condolences to his friends and family.

Rest In Peace…*

goddamn…i mean, i definitely didn’t usually agree with the guy but he seemed like a cool dude. i vaguely recall him having kidney issues or something, was that at all related to his heart attack?

regardless, RIP bro.

R.I.P. Dasrik. i never met him, but i always enjoyed reading his posts.

Didn’t know much about him, but he definitely seemed like a cool guy.

Respect and rest in peace.

Wow. R.I.P. Dasrik

Wow…seriously? This is probably the biggest shocker since Mummy B… :shake:

I remember when I discovered that he was the guy who wrote those Marvel FAQs over at GameFAQs (posted under his real name), I found it incredibly funny. He seemed to be a bit ashamed of those FAQs he made (although they weren’t half bad at all), but we always seemed to get along pretty well when we stumbled upon each other in whatever thread or chat room we were in.

Poor guy took a lot of shit for being a Sailor Moon fan, but as usual, he took it in stride and kept going on. I knew he was sick from what he posted every once in a while, but never to the degree that his life was in danger. Strangely enough, I was using Honda in ST on GGPO yesterday… Dunno why I remembered him that time…

R.I.P. Dasrik. I’ll eat some chanko nabe in your honor, and make the demons RAIN.

I am very sad to see this. Had been seeing him around forever.

He originally greeted me with a flame back in 2000; I wasn’t his favorite person on here. But I respected his knowledge. He seemed like a decent guy. I know he had health issues…

RIP Dasrik. Thank you for throwing one of my Hulk tricks in one of your low-tier vids…

My condolences to all family and friends.

Wow, Dasrik died? Much love to him.

RIP!

I remember back in 2003 or 2004 when Dasrik picked some random Guile/Blackheart/Megaman (?) team and nearly beat Kuaneasy on the big screen. I love Kuan, but it was hard not to root for Dasrik right there rocking ‘low’ tiers against Santhrax or something like that and nearly pulling it off - out of a wheelchair no less.
Then he puts out his excellent Unique Tactics video, and otherwise just keeps dropping these great kernels of wisdom…
… I feel like I probably have learned more just from his random drops of knowledge than maybe anyone else.

It sucks that his body betrayed what always seemed to be a great smart funny guy.

R.I.P.

RIP my man, you never let life beat you down.

This really shocks me because I was chatting with Rick right before my Christmas trip on IRC, and we were chatting like always. We’ve known each other and chatted online for years, so him being close to death was not news, but we always just poked fun at him about it. He was always really light hearted about it and even joked about it himself. I’m just shocked that he finally lost the fight after fighting so long. Condolences to his family, Rick was a great man and will be missed by many.
