I rarely post beyond the Atlantic regional forum but when I heard that an OG SRKer passed away I had to immediately post in this thread to pay my respects. I don’t know Dasrik personally but I remember reading his posts back in the days and they always stood out from rest, whether you agree with him or not. You can tell that he was a straight up smart and witty dude. He contributed a lot to the MvC2 community and he will truly be missed. RIP my man, you fought bravely till the end.
This thread is incredible for the love that he left in so many of your hearts. I may have never met Dasrik, but it feels like I know a bit about him thanks to many of you. Sounds like he was a a very strong individual.

I only half-met Dasrik online back in '98 on Gouki’s Page of Whatever, talking like mad about Marvel 1 and 2. I re-met him on #capcom a couple months ago where we got to re minis about old times and he told me he didnt travel because he was ill. I hope that wherever he is now, its a better place. Its always sad to lose one of the few nice and helpful people this world has.
RIP Dasrik, I only sorta knew you from the james games thread on Pacific South Matchmaking Forum, and you gave me a lot of shit about playing Blaz Blue at JG and the type of people who played it.
although it pissed me off for a sec, it was quit funny and well anyways condolences to the family.

Dude, SRK is down for most of today, and when its finally up this is what I see? Fuck. This fucking sucks. On christmas too? Life is so fucking cruel. I’ve read the entire thread and I still can’t fucking believe it. I’m tearing up. Dasrik was one of the OG srk members. He was just so ridiculously knowledgeable about fighting games in general, and his posting style was top tier. I sadly never got the chance to meet him IRL, but based on his posts on SRK, and all the posts in this thread, he was truly a good man and died too young.
SRK is such a tight knit community, I’ve been lucky to meet so many SRKers IRL, so to lose an OG like dasrik, words cannot describe it. Its like Mummy-B all over again :sad:

Dasrik was one of the standout contributors to this forum for so many years. Despite not knowing him, I feel a huge sense of loss due to “seeing” his presence and reading what he had to say for so many years. It’s very sad to know that I’ll never read another post by him.
