I never said I liked their decision, or that it was the right one - but they’re entitled to it, and it’s their goddamn show. The community doesn’t depend on EVO to exist.

I thought cvs had pretty much the same numbers as marvel last year.
But yeah, GG players totally disrespecting the finals of their event is prob one of the reasons that was factored in cutting the game out. Anyways, don’t know why you guys just don’t show up to evo anyways and hold a huge side tourney.

That said, I think Evo staff are in the right for doing this: CVS2 is on the way out, but now it has the chance to finally shine. With GG coming strong, it can always come back next year. For now, let CVS2 go out with a bang.

Personally, to me, CvS2 isn’t even dead in the water, it’s already rotting at the bottom of the sea, but hell this is clearly the last hurrah for it anyway. And this is coming from someone who mained CvS2 since day one but stopped playing GG around Slash, but wutevas.
Ah well, I’m not going to World for CvS2 anyway, watch MB side tourney beat its numbers eaaaaaaaasy~

From what I’ve heard, yes until last year with team tourney.
But with the release of AC in North America, apparently Final Round has more GG signups than 3S.
And southeast is pretty :looney: for 3s.
GG is definitely kicking ass this year and I’m pretty sure they beat CVS2 by a bit last year. Unless they all fell over of some disease the numbers for this year’s Evo would have been epic. So much for that tho.
I remember hearing that GG had more even last year with the AC/slash issue, and teams.
