I’ll be blunt, I havent played too many fighting games online because, well, until recently most games didnt officially have online play (never used any of the tricks to do it) and honestly, SF4 is alright, I dislike the lack of lobbies so that a group can get together and chat while whooping eachother and yeah, lag plays a huge role in it (No one frame links unless I get really lucky) but seriously…
As long as you dont take it seriously it can be fun. Though usually I play player matches with friendslist people the randomnity of online can be quite fun, and sometimes I am honestly surprised by a decent player. (Im not great, but good enough to scare off everyone who I hang out with from SF4… panzies)
Dont quit because online play sucks, that’ll be true for every fighter until some kind of new internet is found… or teleporters are invented…

Man in 98 we had something called rainbow six lobby in Mplayer and it’s was 10000000000000000000 time better than gfwl .
Although I feel your pain in regards to not having any arcades in the area, I stil feel online is a viable play area. Until you can win almost every match with one hand and only Dan, there is always somthing new to master.
It’s not a mental block, I live in Mississippi - there actually IS no one in my area lol Everyone here just plays FPS, and i dont know…nascar or hunting games? it’s sad lol and that’s if they even have a tv haha…

Sometimes i do feel like quitting too. Starting from G2 2nd match onwards, it’s getting difficult to find opponents with decent connection (min 3 bars). Sometimes due to lack of ‘options’, i just choose someone with 2 bars and didnt enjoy the lag, and worse when i lose. fark it.

Ok, you can like it or you can thinks it’s just some manga shit (i like sf4 better for example) , but it’s a proven fact that the netcode is a lot better than the one used by SF4.
That’s why your whole “sf4 got the best netcode” is FAIL. Hell even HDR has a better netcode.
