Hello all
My name is Adam Pfeifer and I run the fighters at the Pinball wizard arcade. I would like to use this thread as a place to post issues you might be seeing with the games at PWA. I am there throughout the week repairing systems and am looking to make sure the units are properly operating for users.
If you do find issues with the games please be specific on the issues you are seeing.
If you have not been yet you should check it out. We have a huge assortment of fighters. We are located at 150 Bridge Street in Pelham NH and are open Sunday-Thursday 10:00 AM ? 10:00 PM /Friday ?Saturday 10:00 AM ? 11:00 PM. The Pinball Wizard Arcade - Pelham, NH
We are also looking at adding some new games as well (some in the works now and future). If you want to see some of the latest stuff I need help from the community and that is to make it a place you regularly visit.
The more interest in the Fighter the better chance I have of getting some of the latest equipment (like SSF4). So tell your friend and come on out for a few rounds.
Feel free to hit me up with questions I try to monitor these boards frequently and be specific of the issues you are seeing and I will get them addressed ASAP. I want to make the PWA a location spot for the fighting community.
Thanks for your support

Some of the items that have been taken care of:
1.) SFA2 is now fully operational (Fixed B Jamma board issues which was causing graphic glitches on the CPS2 board).
2.) Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 ? is still down at this time due to the Naomi Jamma board. Replacement is being ordered.
3.) Marvel Superheroes Vs Street Fighter: Chasis issues with the monitor, it has been pulled and being recapped. Hope to have it up and running in the next week or so.
Adam, glad you could make it to the forums! I think it will help with getting more exposure with the fighting community. Will make it a point to be there a couple times a week going forward.:woot: Thanks for the hard work!
hey adam
I’m not sure we met, my name is chris and my tag is CP, but I often come in with asiantom and those guys. I’m really enjoying PWA and for more then just the fighters, actually I think we’re planning on stopping by Thursday night this week.
here are a few problems i’ve noticed :
Alpha3 still has some issues with the switches in the sticks, not allowing the down positions to work every time, many of my low forwards often end up as stand forwards D: (i think A2’s sticks are also in rough shape)
(non-fighter related)
donkey kong junior - I’m really enjoying this game however there is one major problem I run into. The dust cover on the stick is almost the same size as the hole in the cabinet. So sometimes after going left or right the dust cover gets stuck half in the hole and the stick can’t go left/right corresponding to the side with the cover stuck in, often leading to losing a life D: please put a larger dust cover on that machine and then i’ll lock down the high score!
Chris
Thanks for the info. I will replace the switches on the buttons of alpha 3 tonight and will take care of the joystick cover on DKJr.
As for the sticks on the fighters that will take time in terms of replacment. (again the more traffic we see on the fighters the better the funding I can get for additional replacment parts as well as the big picture of looking at newer games). Come on out for a few rounds.
Update on Games 02-02-11
-We now have another light gun shooter Big buck Hunter out on the floor
-We are currently working on bringing out Carnievil onto the floor as well.
I am super excited that this now has its own thread. The last time I was able to play awesome games like CvS2, any King of Fighters iteration, and Area51 was when I was about 10 and that was at a hole in the wall arcade on Elm St. in Manchester. I’ve been really happy with PWA thus far and all my interactions with the employees have been very positive. There are a number of people in the area who post on these boards that work at game shops so you may be able to get them to post some flyers in their stores for you.
yeah if you guys can get some business cards or flyers, i can hand them out at work, being that i work at gamestop. i try to tell as many people as i can about the arcade.
also, if the time arises to when pwa gets a super street fighter 4 ae cabinet or blazblue cab etc etc with whatever other more recent fighters are out there. if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the actual cabinet part this guy makes very nice DIY vewlix cabinet replicas http://shoryuken.com/f177/anyone-here-bought-vewlix-kit-kray-250674/index16.html
they’re pretty reasonably priced too.
Hey , had a fun time tonight! Actually didn’t play a ton of fighters but next time its a priority. Question, do all the games high scores reset at night? I want my dkjr high score foreverr
you should think about setting up some type of fighting game night, where people can bring a few consoles and monitors, put some of the fighters on free play and have people pay like 5 bucks to play for a few hours.
The Blazblue cab that is being built is Calamity Trigger in full 1080I (Console are on displaying in 720)
There are a few other fighters I am looking at as well…
As for the console gaming. There is a second phase to be built which will be our Console/corporate party room. Can’t give away too many details away just yet however I think people will be pleased with what we have to offer.
