Yeah nj.HK works too but I couldn’t connect anything after it midscreen except LK Senpusha so I didn’t record it. That’s less damage than j.MK cl.HP xx LK Senpusha.
The HK is really for the corner only.
i agree completely. I just wish that worked on something other than an anti air…like…a combo into that. I’m trying to find a way to use it in a tag combo. I’m trying to use Xaioyu now so I’m hoping to do like her up kicks, tag, and hit the c.hp at the tip so I can try this. Hasnt been working, heh.
but yea, great find man. Anything else you find, of course let us know. I got a few things im working on.
So I went 11-3 today in ranked after a long ranked hiatus to “find” my team – I ran into a few autoblockers. I beat them but found the fights very obnoxious.
Those things totally kill your rush down.
What do you guys recommend? – I basically sat back full screen with Juri storing Lk fuhajin and cycling between Mk and Hk (occassionaly storing one)so they couldn’t go to the air very easily. releaseing Lk when in range of Cr. Mk xx Senpusha tag Chun in for a bit more damage back up full screen kikouken and bring Juri back in.
Also as I’ve gone with Ken for a bit and came back to Juri (fuck shotos). I’m finding air to air tactics suck ass, even for Chun. I’m either hitting my button to late or just flat getting beaten out. I used J. Mp with Juri. Thoughts?
Lastly a little juice tidbit Hugo teams are free as shit with Chun and Juri as a team. Serious meter building ladies; haha. I’m in love with my team finally!
I plan on doing a video like Vulcan Hades did for this team.
I hit B+ rank today (PSN) with Juri/Hwoarang. The amount of assist gems on players, especially good players, is sickening. Honestly, I got my B+ and I’m done with ranked. Not going to do it anymore. I’m not even going to bother trying to reach it on XBL. I’m at like 5200bp or so on XBL. I’m fine with not trying to get another 4800bp while losing to assist gems along the way. Plus, I get kicked out of enough lobbies for being B rank as is. I’m sure I’ll regret that B+ before long.
These new gems…ridiculous. /off topic
Against auto-block gems exploit Juri’s overhead. If you don’t block not comboable overheads like Juri’s, the auto-block gems put you at a disadvantage.
EX is very important, imo it is a lot more advantageous to get ride of meter than deal 70 damage or so. Especially when a random DP xx TC means half your bar is gone.
I tried playing with auto-block gems and after autoblocking Ryu’s 2hit overhead (2bars) I felt really stupid…
J.mp air to air doesn’t have a good hitbox, it also doesn’t float the opponent up in sfxt so its fairly difficult to get a followup on it. Risk reward isn’t that great.
Jf.lp/mk have good hitboxes, jump back hk works well too. Nj.mk is very good as well for air to airs. If you are above your opponent or want to get a similar risk reward to how jf.mp was in sf4 go for jf.fp which will always get you a ground bounce that you can usually combo off of for extra damage.
That being said a lot of it comes down to who hit their normal first in the air, most of the time people will delay their normal press if they don’t expect you to jump at them while they are jumping in.
If they start pressing their normal early in their jump arc to try and beat your air to air the best bet is to not jump at all and just cr.hp into big damage.
Actually a really good suggestion – I thank you. I haven’t tried to use it outside of her Jump cancel combos and this could be quite valuable in certain situations.
A/Aing with Cr. Mp is my habit from SSF4 (free fuhajin store/release) so I definately need to go for Cr.Hp on deeper jump ins - usually just went for Kasatushi if I saw a limb come out.
Side note - really amazes me how effective Kasatushis are in this game. Don’t know if people just aren’t familiar with it or what, but I’ve used it to get in, cross up and get away like crazy. Though I don’t use Hp verision much unless its a character without a good reversal or those who use throw parries like crazy.
Looking at you Asuka players – that shit only works once.
do we have any setups to maintain pressure off KD? i know ken have a few, but i haven’t seen juri have any worth significance, or i must’ve missed it.
Interesting combo I got off a bit ago during an endless battle.
punished a hadouken with Juri’s Dive kick - 3 hits - carried Ken to the corner where I did Cr. Mp xx Lk Senpusha on his way down
Really just did it by accident as I almost always do just one hit.
I’ll have to test out some stuff and see what else we can do.
The knockdown I’ve tried to work on is cl.HP xx LK Senpusha since that’s our combo ender.
From that you can option select the roll:
KD > j.MK cross-up (quick tech) > jump back QCB+MK (Divekick and OS j.MK on roll)
Or take a mini step back and nj.HK: nj.HK will hit both location (roll and normal stand).
But like I do with Cammy, it’s best to sacrifice a bit of damage after a long combo and use the knockdown situation you like. For example if you use sweep you only lose like 10dmg compared to cl.HP xx LK Senpusha if the damage reduce is maxed.
If we end a combo with Fuhajin(Store) we can setup situation where we release and dash, if they roll the dash goes through them which is confusing and forces them to do a quick change of guard direction.
Edit: Juri midscreen BNB 0EX upgrade:
2HP jc Dive > 2HP jc j.MP xx Dive > cl.HP xx Senpusha
goodshit and much gratitude hotaru.
[S]If the store connects you can follow it up with Sekku for an extra 50ish damage. Sweep also works but the timing is a bit tight.[/S]
So I’ve been tinkering in the lab with Juri’s standard 0-store confirm BnB and managed to squeeze a bit more damage out of it… in addition to a second store depending on the circumstance.
For comparison here are the standard hit confirms with their damage.
cr.:lk:, st.:lp:, cr. :mp: xx :qcb:+:hk: 206 dmg
cr.:lk:, st.:lp:, fs. :mp: xx :qcf:+:k: 150 dmg
cr.:lk:, st.:lp:, fs. :mp: xx :qcf:+:k: xx release 178 - 192 dmg
Upgraded versions:
cr.:lk:, st.:lp:, fs. :mp: xx :qcf:+:k: , fs. :mp: xx :qcf:+:k: 216 dmg, stores two fuhajins,
second store whiffs if used after a Meaty jumping :hp: or :hk:, if crossing up with j.mk you must walk forwards a distance before the second fs.:mp: or the second store will whiff.
cr.:lk:, st.:lp:, fs. :mp: xx :qcf:+:k: , fs. :mp: xx :qcb:+:lk: 236 dmg, stores 1 fuhajin. Does not whiff. Can not store :lk: fuhajin
The first will do 256 dmg on a j.mk crossup. The second will do 302 dmg off a j.:hk: or j.:hp: starter.
…And I just noticed this is also on the front page. Somehow missed that while reading through the thread… Ah well, there’s numbers to go with the inputs now XD.
yes you do. Cr mk and cr rh
Not sure if discovered yet. Found it fuckin around in training. If this is known then rip me a new one and ill delete post.
Midscreen c.mp, fuhajin release, fs.mpxxheavy fuhajin store+release, super or cross art
Not new
I don’t understand why don’t just do cr.hp,jc, j.hp(delayed), nj.hk, H senpusha, SC partner follow-up.
[S]cr.hp xx j.hp (delayed) > forward j.mk > cl.hp xx hk.store [TAG] yields more damage in most cases as you do not get the full 120/140 damage off mk/hk.senpusha when you use it in a juggle (but you do get the full 120 off hk.fuhajin). Though it can vary depending on the amount of damage your partner’s follow-up does.[/S]
Yea, so I was in full-blown retard mode when I posted this… What I meant was: cr.hp xx j.hp > cl.hp xx hk.fuhajin store [TAG]. NOT the delayed version. Anyway, went to the lab to double test and you are indeed correct. j.hk > hk.senpusha yeilds about 20 more damage and launches them far higher/farther. The downside being that, for my team at least, it’s way less consistent. Asuka has a terrible time connecting both hits of her j.hk afterwards, especially if the spacing on the initial cr.hp wasn’t perfect.
Actually you get more damage off the H senpusha after Nj.Hk in that combo. Due to dmg scaling. I’ve tested this. Plus what happens when you don’t have a H Fuhajin stored up? With JurixKing I can get 500+ easily for 1 bar and no fuhajin store necessary.
cr.hp, jc, j.hp (delayed), j.mk, cl.hp H fuhajin store into tag doesn’t work. The fuhajin whiffs…always. L senpusha is the only thing capable of finishing that combo solo.
