I know it was the wrong decision.I have never used ultra 2 before,but it seems like it is the better choice vs fireball characters except Guile because he recovers too fast.
Eh ultra 2 against Guile can be ok. It’s kinda double-edged sword type of thing. Guiles feel comfortable doing sonic boom on wake up or ultra 2 to chip you, and it’s possible to punish both. Only problem is that it pushes guile away and you can maybe get kara fadc into another dash before he gets up.
Edit: Oh yeah Liang, just a few quick tips after watching your first match. This guy was actually afraid of getting thrown by you so you should of used that to your advantage. Make people fear kara throw and the following mix up and then they’ll really not want to get thrown. Then baiting uppercuts and blowin’ up crouch tech with counter hit setups follow shortly after.
The thing is I am still not able to do kara throws on a consistent basis.I play with the PS3 pad and I use forward HK instead of forward MK,but it only works 2 out of 6 times and this is why I never use it online,but thanks anyway for the feedback.
I did play El-kalam a few days ago who has a very strong Hakan and I mixed up my game better than I did vs Moshtaba.
I haven’t played or seen many Hakan players who used this character so well and there were a few rounds in which I have played way too risky and did some unnecessary stuff,but from time to time I adapted to his playstyle.There were a few things I didn’t really know about Hakan like he can slide FADC into ultra and sometimes when he did the slide when he was oiled,I tried to hit confirm with LP and it didn’t work because he recovered way too fast or maybe I just LPunched way too late which was also the reason why I just jumped back from then on when I blocked a slide.Also it seems like Ken is losing a lot in the air because Hakan’s jumping normals have more priority or maybe I just used the wrong normals at the wrong time.
But the games were quite good imo:

I enjoyed these matches. That hakan is really impressive. You handled him well, except you tried to anti-air him with air-to-air attacks, and he would always beat you with his gdlk j.mp lol. Try to go with anti-air mp.srk sometimes instead of jumping preemptively, other than that the match was great and fun to watch.

I had to turtle in the last match though.I do already have some experience in this match up since I have been playing vs many quite solid Guy players since SSF4 was released and I figured out that this might be an effective way to play vs Guy.
