hubcap, if you’re interested in 3S comp, you should play John. He’s the resident 3S expert here if you don’t know him already. If we get a gathering goin’, I’ll let him know and he’ll come as well.

Hi, I’d just like to introduce myself to this thread. My name is Jake and I’m a Purdue student/SF 4 player. I haven’t played since my 360 died early October, but I’d love to match up with some local competition. Nice to see there’s a community here and I hope I can join in.

Hi aliceinangels, welcome and nice to have a newcomer to the scene! There should be plenty of SF4 action for you here.

It seems like activity here is kinda dead this week probably due to those engineering exams and whatnot. In any case, I am still interested in seeing if someone is willing to host a gathering. I should be able to bring a solid group of 4 people, which in addition to the previous #‘s would make quite an awesome gathering. I would host, but I have a girlfriend + roommate at my place that are in the midst of stressful PhD apps and theses writing so I just don’t wanna interfere or mess with the consequences of that. Well, I better get back to work myself haha but always cool to see the discussion goin’ and the scene alive. Laters!

Thats pretty much the gist of it Epic, this week ive got exams in math and computer science, projects due in CS and english, as well as a term paper to write. I know at least a couple others who post here are really busy too.

After exams, we totally need to set something up.

I got Honors Analysis, Diff EQ, Linear Algebra, and German still.

:frowning:

I did not so good on my stats exam.

Yay for the weekend, im free tonight if anyone’s up for some street fighter.

Earlier this week i talked to the RA from Hillenbrand who organized the Street Fighter 4 and Tekken 6 release tourney things, apparently it wouldnt take much for us to get a room in one of the resident halls for meeting, sound like a good idea to get fighting game players together? what times would work for people?

yo I’m new to SRK, I live in hillenbrand and would be down for some games. Any time after like 9 tonight and all day tomorrow works for me. I’m really looking for some new people to play, I only know like one guy IRL who plays fighters.

I’ve been really busy the past couple of weeks, but classes are going to be slower for me until thanksgiving and I think it’d be great to get a group together in a residence hall.

I was actually at that Tekken tournament at Hillenbrand and talked to the RA as well. They had a great venue there with a huge projector screen + spacious room. Some people were studying there though, but I guess they wouldn’t mind the side entertainment lol. That sounds like a cool idea…let’s see how that pans out.

ggs to the dud and chun that schooled me last week

Happs excuse in full effect

Wuttup guys, I’m new to SRK but I love me some SF4 ^^ have we ever had any tournaments going on around here?

According to this thread, I am a cool kid.

I just felt like bragging.

ATTENTION! Hillenbrand is going to be hosting a Street Fighter night this Saturday (november 21) at 8:00 PM. Anyone who is interested is free to attend, there’s no fee or anything, just show up and play! It’ll be in the lobby, the one on the left side where the TV is.

We’re gonna be playing on 360, we have a couple sticks and pads, but feel free to bring your own stick if that’s your thing. If there’s any games you want to play besides SF4, feel free to bring those along as well and if we have time we’ll get some other games going too.

I know this is short notice, but we’d like to get as many people as possible to come play so we can keep doing stuff like this in the future. Thanks a lot guys, hope to see you this saturday!

Definitely attending the above… Hey yall I’m at purdue and I play T6, SCIV and a bit of street fighter… My XBL GT: TUKK3… get at me if any of you wanna get in some online or offline matches anytime…

Nice, I’ll be there!

bah, i cant make it Saturday night but i hope it goes well, defiantly want to have more SF4 stuff in the future

and grats Abstract

nice
hope you do more of these type get-togethers
im kind of newby at SF4, but its a fun game
ive got 360 TE stick

im only free on random Sundays unfortunately
work like a dog

i think Sundays are the best days in general for getting together.

I should be bringing at least 1-2 people with me. I dunno how good I’ll be though, I play on PC and I have next to no practice with a controller and absolutely no experience with a stick ;o

Feel free to bring as many people as you like. And don’t worry too much about performance on pad/stick, my friends who are gonna be there are and I all are in a wide range of skills, so everyone should hopefully be able to find at least one person who’s on the same level as them.
