Punisher War Zone Trailer

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/punisher_war_zone/news/1734321/

Don’t think it’s been posted yet.

For some reason it looks like straight to video quality to me.

I’ll still go check it out though.

Why is it that Punisher movies are always bad?

it looks like the average one guy kills a thousand witha single gun type. like rambo with less blood.

You know if they didn’t cast John Travolta as a bad guy in the Thomas Jane Punisher, that movie would’ve went from good to excellent. I thought Thomas Jane was a good fit for the role of Punisher.

I’m seeing this new movie regardless anyway because Jigsaw may be in it.

That new Punisher dude just doesn’t work for me. Thomas Jame was a million times better. You can’t even tell he’s The Punisher.

Again, what are you people smoking?

That looks fucking bad ass!

Stevenson looks a hell of a lot more like the Punisher than blonde haired blue eyed Thomas Jane.

If you guys haven’t seen Lexxi Alexander’s previous film Green Street Hooligans, you really should.

I like how now just because shit isnt set in space or someone doesnt stretch or shoot missiles out of his arms that it looks “direct to video”

I got a serious fcking Punisher: Max vibe from that trailer

FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY!

“Give me the 60.”

I agree, he did a great job and I watch that movie from time to time.

New Punisher looks crappy, the person not the flick, I’m a big Punisher fan (Garth Ennis’s run is godly) so I’ll be there opening day for sure, but I just don’t know.

At least Jigsaw is in it.

I thought a Marvel version of Supermax would be cool, put Punisher in prison with a bunch of villains and let the hilarity ensue.

wtf? did they just like watch boondock saints 100 times in a row and go mad?

lol this movie looks horrible. what was the need for a revamp? the last one was fine…did fans complain on a hulk ang lee level?

It looks pretty good, IMO

I think this new guy looks more like the comic Punisher, but I liked Thomas Jane as the Punisher.

Wayne Knight AKA NEWMAN playing Microchip=perfect casting

LOL it’s not that. In this day and age gun play action that’s not even trying to be John Woo crazy or have some heavy Matrix bullet time rip off effects looks straight to video to me.

Oh I’m not saying that this is what this movie needs, hence ‘Wanted’ looking so bad… But since I knew who Thomas Jane and Dolph Lundren were before seeing their Punisher flicks and don’t know who this guy is, well that’s just the impression I got.

I’ll try and check out Green Street Hooligans at some point. Hell if I watched Across the Universe just because the main actor was rumored to play Spider-Man in the upcoming Broadway musical I can sit through anything. Ah well, Across the Universe was a good movie though, I’m sure if you like Green Street Hooligans it’s probably a good movie too.

LOL I guess I’m the only one who liked Dolph’s movie. I dunno, if you don’t try to connect it to any comic book or expect oscar winning acting it’s just a guy running around killing people and I can’t hate on that. “What is crime? What is punishment?” Man that’s classic.

Thomas Jane’s movie was okay at best to me. I have the same feeling about this new movie that I have about the Hulk. In both cases these reboots and recasting don’t seem necessary to me, just make better sequels. Both movies got the origin stories out of the way and now you can move on to tell better stories. Well if these new movies turn out to be better movies than it’s all good I suppose.

You saw the trailer? WHY? It has spoilers. Now we have to put up with another new thread of yours where you complain about them showing punisher shooting st people saying that they gave too much away.

Btw green street hooligans was good.

I look more like the Punisher than that when I wear my Earth X Punisher shirt.

I like the addition of jigsaw and wayne knight as microchip(if you’re going to do microchip might as well do it right)

the movie does scream low budget and that chandelier thing looked stupid. I agree he looks closer to the punisher but something about the way he carries himself and talks is just kind of off for me.

What happened with the thomas jane flick is that people have a huge misrepresentation of the punisher in their heads. They think he has always been hardcore badass like the max comics when in reality he has been treated in a rather silly fashion most of the time. from fighting robots in mexico, to being turned into a black man by plastic surgeon turned coke head prostitute, to all the random wackiness that was the marvel knights series, the punisher has seen it all.

the jane film combined the welcome back frank story with punisher year one and just omitted the silly crap from WBF. those that complain that it was lean on action dont realize that the year one story had frank trying different things before going all punisher on everyone. he tried using the police and the media before taking matters into his own hands(the jane film took the same time to get to the payoff but changed what happened before). I admit that there were some things I wished the film hadn’t changed(omitting his daughter, not pushing the war on drugs) but overall I enjoyed it much more than the comic version of welcome back frank and it took most of the good bits from year one.

wait wait…wtf did the jane movie have to do with Welcome Back Frank? I dont remember him throwing anyone off the top of the sears tower, punching a polar bear, or fighting The Russian

first off it was the empire state building, and no he didn’t punch a polar bear. but he did fight the russian aka kevin nash. jane looked badass as the punisher. this guy doesn’t seem right to me. but i had the same thoughts about jane. i hope he proves me wrong

My friend and I, both being fans of Garth Ennis’s Punisher run, will see this regardless of it being really shitty or good. So far I don’t like it, and that probably won’t change for a while lol.

I really hope this movie turns out good, I am really hoping for excessive amounts of violence, and up close, heartfelt moments of PUNISHMENT. I think the trailer looks pretty awesome, and I really think two things ruined the Jane Punisher:

  1. John Travolta was a lame ass badguy
  2. Jane snuck around like the Count of Monte Cristo to get the boss to kill his wife and his number one…So…Fucking…Lame.

Seriously, wtf are you guys smoking, that Punisher looks sick. Lexi Alexander is basing this off the MAX imprint and using Tim Bradstreet as well. Look at Ray Stevenson, he is straight ripped off the pages of a Tim Bradstreet cover, slicked back hair, gruff ass mug, etc, etc.

Why did people like the Thomas Jane Punisher? That movie sucked balls, the family fucking dies in Costa Rica or some shit, fuckin wacky slap happy ass shenanigins happen in that movie as well, like putting a popsicle on a guys back, and some other food antic I can’t even remember. I am a big fan of Enis Punisher as well and he is a goofy writer, but those goofy ass antics do not translate well on screen. Thomas Jane does not even look like the punisher, the only person that I let get away with that shit is Micheal Keaton/Batman cause he did such a terrific job.

Also, the costume is awesome, how do you fucking fight a one man war on crime against cops and mafia in a fucking t shirt is not realistic at all. This guy has full body armor and micro w/ an arsenal of weapons, which is much more realistic.

PS, also Lexi Alexander is hot, she used to be a kickboxing champ and stuntwoman and Green Street Hooligans (the fight scenes at least) were great.
