when i was in grade 9 i had my trombone busted by senior class alpha band students. my parents wrote my name on masking tape that was on the outside of the trombone case. because i was disliked by all grades. this just alerted people who didnt like me to know which trombone was mine. i got grounded and blamed for not taking care of my instrument when it was in the band room closet which all band students have access to. my parents were thinking to name my case that if it were to go missing that it could be returned to me, but all it did was cause it to get broken but they didnt see it that way. a bunch of things went on for a long time grade 10 rolled around and after getting hit from behind by a senior student wielding a science textbook and then hit by a skateboard. both times were to the back of the head out of nowhere which both resulted in me falling over and was laughed at by the entire student body. i stalked a grade 12 student involved in these incidents + more between block C and D and when he approached the top of a flight of stairs i kicked him down as hard as i could. he suffered a broken wrist and i got expelled.
my emotions got the best of me but still to this day i have no remorse or guilt for that particular action. my feelings are…dont throw rocks if you live in a glass house. and i found out an area where he was vulnerable and i exploited it.
i had a better time in my new school. it was like the best decision i ever made to do that. and i think these types of retribution acts are neccessary because A) the guy deserved it in a sense, to get technical i dont know how to quantify if he deserves his injuries all i know is that he deserved “something”, because i dont know how to get technical and quantify what i do or dont deserve either. and b) having not done that it could have resulted in graduation at that school and a different person than i am now today.
i can tell you that doing that i felt 50% lighter and better. so it was therapy for me.
they must have thought i deserved what they did to me right? why must i have a greater consideration for their health and security than what they are giving to me? because they’re alpha and im beta? because they are wittier and better looking and more athletic than me and my job in life is to enter the workforce as a labourer and pay taxes for 50 years and die single and a loser with little to no friends?
the point of this post is to illustrate that alphas create beta homocidal maniacs.
this is human society…this is not bird nest society where one hatchling can eat all the worms and starve his brothers and sisters where he is the only bird to grow up and fly away cause he got 100% of everything.
everybody needs a bare minimum of esteem OTHERWISE disasters can happen.
i have no clue what this particular massecre involved psychologically but humanity can be stripped away from people quite easily when they no longer feel connected to their own species.
should killers be put down? of course…but if people dont have the proper sense to treat others the way they wish to be treated…you’ll just create these monsters in the long run.
it takes really no effort at all just to not torment a person at work or school or anywhere. it takes a lot less effort to just keep your mouth shut and be humble then to egg a person on over years and years and when he/she explodes or becomes a drug addict and breaks into your car to steal the change on the dashboard that everybody puts their hands to their faces and scratches their heads in total disbelief and confusion.
Branh if you think colour makes a difference in the reporting of this story I think you are missing the point of what has actually happened. As for what happens in poorer areas, I do think you have a point and that more should be done. A story like this hits home for a lot of families for a few reasons. Parents expect their children to be safe at school. It is unfathomable for a parent to have to worry whether their child will be shot with an automatic rifle at school. There is no tougher ordeal for a parent (as a person) to go through than burying and saying goodbye to a child. What happened at that school was a tragedy, reporting would be the same no matter what part of your country it happened in. I honestly believe that.
People are disgusted by it. You could move the location north, south, east or west and it would not make a difference.
yeah, its called america. where everyone gets their firearms. including iran. iran-contra reference right there kiddos.
i have autism spectrum disorder. i also have an AR-15 assault rifle.
ie,…don’t tread on me bitches.
ya hear that marcel duchamp!
stop the conceptual art craze today!
he probly shot up the school coz sum bratty 8 year old beat his ass in counter stike and rubbed it in his face. this takes game-ragin to a whole new level.
i’d let him win…every time.
not at street fighter though.
i have my pride.
I know that autistic people, depending on the spectrum have varied levels of emotive response. Children with Aspergers are on the higher end, which is probably your classification I presume?
That’s why I mentioned the anxiety, sociopaths feel none because they lack any true social acknowledgment or fears. Autistic people can feel more powerful emotions, esp. towards people and things they have bonded with.
So because someone can kill some people by throwing sacks of dirt off an apartment building, we shouldn’t even think about gun control? Still not seeing how that makes sense. Some of you are the same people who want increased banking regulations, but why? Can’t the bankers come up to you on the street and rob you? Why aren’t we making sure the bankers are mentally stable and don’t want to make money at the expense of someone else? What’s the difference?
As much as this saddens me… I’m not suprised that a tragedy like this repeats itself.
Everyone has guns in US , Everyone. Even those who shouldn’t have them.
And i think that’s where the problem lies. What can you do about the guns?
Take Sweden as a example…Guns are forbidden totally and completely unless you have a hunters license which takes EFFORT to get.
Not to mention that the police looks you up aswell when you are applying for that license , just to make sure you’re an allright guy.
If you are caught with a gun they throw you in jail for about 1 or 2 years.
I think it’s time the states learned some from the rest of the world. Even though i realize that it is written that you americans should have/ have the right to carry firearms.
Iran recently caught a drone made by us, but unsure if we owned it or we sold it to another country since it was an old model. We send drones to bomb some parts of Pakistan every so often. We only sent in troops when we thought bin Laden was there.
People on the news are like “How do we improve security? Surely we can’t have armed guards in every school!” and I’m like Yo we can totally do that. Let’s create new jobs as long as a motherfucker can pass some psychological examinations or something. I could certainly use the work.
