Will be updating this thread to reflect SSF4 Dictator’s changes by the end of this week
I remember reading somewhere that if you get crossed up you can maintain your ultra charge by spamming b,f until they’re on your other side and ultra on the correct side. Is this doable? Haven’t been able to get it right.
Yeah, it works the same way as auto correct DP: SRK motion when they jump over you, press P when they cross up.
Not sure why’d you want to use NMB though. PP is looking to be much more versatile.
gah i cant tell if im using PP as a punisher correctly or if the people online just suck right now and cant block
I had to tell a bunch of people in Endless match that they had to block it high or jump if possible. I guess most online folk don’t know how to block it yet.
As much as I wanted to keep hitting PP on them, I’m more interested if I legitimately trip guard punished the dudes instead of them defending incorrectly.
LK Knee Press knockdown into LP Psycho Crusher is safe on block as long as it’s not in a corner then they’d be too close and LP Psycho is unsafe.
I was messing around with crossup pcs and worked out a couple of potentially easy setups:
After a slide, a well timed mp PC crosses up.
After landing a combo ending in lk sk, a fp PC crosses up those who quickstand.
Only tested on Juri.
Also works after throw. This was something I was tried to do in SF4 but couldn’t and I knew it was going to be possible in SSF4 after hearing about the cross up.
lol same here, I went into endless match, slaughtered all that stood before me, then watched em all quit
What ? They can’t OS tatsu if their jump in hits you.
hey guys, i need some help. i suck at buffering the qcf input on player 1 side…player 2 side its easy as hell for me but im side handicapped when it comes to qcf. i can do it ‘on reaction’ no problem but the way i setup my training dummy i can never hit him with PP fast enough on either side full screen, so I just buffer my inputs. My training dummy is walking backwards constantly and will throw out one fireball during the 10 second record time and im just training to be able to punish by buffering.
im not too familiar with buffering qcf inputs, not even sure im doing it right but im basically just doing qcf over and over again and then just hitting triple kicks when i see the fireball animation start up. not sure if im doing it right though. any advice? for some reason it feels perfectly natural doing it on p2 side but when i get to p1 side to practice it just feels awkward. on p1 side i can feel myself hitting all the qcf microswitches perfectly even though im doing it quickly but on p1 side its just a mess. im getting better at controlling it but is it just a matter of practice? also is there any way to make the buffering appear less obvious?
Not not really answer your question, was playing with a friend yesterday and he said he had the exact opposite problem, that beeing unable to QCFx2 from player 2. Figured out he held his stick from the top and I hold i kinda wineglassy, found it much easier actually changing my grip to make the ultra atleast. Not really making it reactionbased then, but still able to punish the stupid shit we still do seeing the level of relative scrubiness we still hold.
The buffering part I tend to rattle the stick anytime he goes for fireballs or me not needing my charge as much to make him used to me making stickie noises. A temporary workaround as well only working in a quiet environment where you can actually see and hear each other, so not actually usable as such.
That’s pretty much it. If you’ve ever seen a shoto do that hyperactive “dance,” it’s the same thing.
Pretty much. Gotta get them muscles worked out. Seriously just go into training mode and do it 20x a day for a week. Just like doing scales on a piano or whatever.
If you’re just hanging out at a distance waiting for an opportunity to PP, you can spam LK or LP so it looks like you’re just spamming normals.
Ultra I might as well be taken out of the game, as who in there right mind would use it. However, Can you nail ultra II fullscreen with happy projectile players. I didn’t get the chance to try this in training mode.
Had an interesting moment with Ultra II and a jump happy Juri. When they attempted to jump in, I initiated the ultra, came down with them, and the move connected. I gotta try it when I get home and see if they had the chance to block.
i have yet to go back and use NMB since i picked up Super. I doubt I ever will.
Haven’t teleported by accident for Ultra punishment yet
Well this isn’t really bison related but anyone know how to unlock the red tiles? Thanks in advance.
i dont think theres anything of balrogs you can really punish except for his own ultra so i might be using nightmare booster for that matchup as well as rufus.
i have, but my controller is ass right now. I fuck up simple shit like PC’s and stuff every now and again (i also hate jumping forward then hold back, and bison will instead jump backwards). I guess thats what I get for throwing it at the wall repeatedly.
anywho, just mentioning that exPC doesn’t go through Ibuki’s kunai’s. You just end up getting shanked in the back.
You mean like the coloured titles? You get a different one for each challenge level you beat with a certain character. Lover of Evil is my new favourite Bison one.
I can’t believe I’m only just getting into resets off j.mp, such goddamn ambiguous crossups depending button/character. It’s a pity any resets into PP wouldn’t be much more brutal than comboing off the j.mp.
