I’m a little late to the party here, I know. Still, my reactions:

Tron is essentially a “consolation prize” addition to me. I was actually hoping for Volnutt with Roll Caskett assisting, kind of like how they operated in Namco X Capcom. As in, that was my top choice; I really like that duo.

That said, Tron is one hell of a consolation prize. She pilots a giant robot (well, relatively giant!), and I dig that. Tried her out in MvC2 earlier today and I like her overall character function there; about the only change I’d ask for is reworking a couple of her normals. Other than that she seems very fun indeed. If you were rooting for her as your top choice, congratulations; I hope you’re even more pleased than I am.

I would fully expect them to fix some of her damage scaling and absurd chip issues. Seth Killian has stated they want MvC3 to be… I don’t think these were his exact words but they’re close, something like they want it to be: “broken but not TOO broken.”

So far, most of the return cast from MvC2 have virtually their same old moveset and functionality design (albeit tweaked for the new engine), right? Should we reasonably expect the same for Tron, e.g. her move list is laid out very much like her MvC2 one?
I expect her chip game to be pretty intact and her special moves to be buffed up(plus at least one totally new special move), and she will probably have totally different assists. Just my predictions.
My prediction is that they give her a throw hyper.
Yeah I was thinking a command throw with a hyper version or servbot’s assists with different ones on each button.
Tron’s copters are critical to her game against Sentinel, at the least. If you’re not throwing that out, you’re probably going to get smashed. They’re not useful close range, though, unless your opponent isn’t paying attention. (And most aren’t: you can usually throw out the jab copter for free.)
i really doubt capcom is going to waste volnutt from tvc, don’t count on seeing classic megaman. i bet they recycle most of their characters from tvc
I don’t want to see a single variation of megaman. Other megaman charecters? Sure. Megaman himself? Hell no. Hate how he plays in VS. hate watching him, this hater gonna hate.

Hmmm. Since there are only 3 buttons, I wonder which moves are gonna make the cut? I love her standing HP, but her standing HK has lovely otg properties and makes for a good projectile. Maybe they’ll both be featured via command normals? Tron without a spinning punch OR a rock throw would feel weird…
I think they’ll make her light attack her LK bulldozer arm, since it had nice otg properties. Medium attack could be either her MP or MK from mvc2, but no matter what, it should combo into lunch rush just like Her MP could.
Rock throw seems like a 6C to me. Mp could also work as a 6b with nullify projectile usefulness. Then make j.HK into j.E?

The first list you mentioned is pretty on the money, except Wily would get in before Protoman ever has a shot. Especially if both MM.EXE and Zero made it in. If MM.EXE made it in though, I would piss my pants, no lie.
