Ambahdextrous is a Blanka player, so this is a First to 5 Set with Rose vs. Blanka. I would really like to know what everyone thinks of the set. What did you like? What didnt you like?
I’m still a pretty new Rose player, but your actions in the matches (I admit I only watched the first two) don’t seem to have a plan behind them. It looked like you were throwing out pokes and moves just to throw out pokes and moves without much thought behind them.
In the Blanka match up, I feel Rose has to take risk. Rose just has those match ups (Dhalsim, Blanka, & Seth for example) where risk is required.

He is a very good Balrog player. I would love to know everyones thoughts on how I went about the Balrog match up.
Some matches I had with a good online Balrog player:

I play really cautiously in these matches, for fear of headbutts, and EX Rush Punches. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Some I noticed throughout the matches: I kept getting hit by his EX overhead, so I need to block high more. Sometimes I got hit after doing c.mk -> s.HK, and eventually I adjusted, thus baiting out punishable moves when he expected it at times.
Note: I have more matches to put up, so they will be up tomorrow.

This is from December. I think my spacing in this match was bad, and I think it will be much improved next time I see Luffy! Goddamn it.
oh louffy, he plays the matchup well
wow man, did you at least try some freeplay against an offline rose player before you moneymatched luffy ? really looks like free money for him here…
One of my oldest sparing partners mains Balrog, so I have a great deal of experience in dealing with the EX overhead. In my experience, I just always block low, and then just react to the overhead. I feel that I have a very high success rate in doing this, and I think with some practice in training mode, you will too. I think it’s for this reason I very, very rarely see high level Balrog players even use this move.
I haven’t uploaded any vids in a while so…

Aside from some obvious mistakes they are pretty decent matches imo. I’ll try to get some decent capturing equipment soon
Maaaan… I’m gonna have to play CJ more to get him ready for Rose match ups at CEO
the problem with CJ is not that he has bad execution, mind game, or ability to for max damage.
it’s that he has a VERY obvious pattern.
This is from my own experience playing him.
Like everyone has a pattern, but his pattern is REALLY obvious.
I definitely agree with you there, my friend plays him all the time and just beats him all the time just because of it.
Short video where I manage to land the double 1-framer at the end of round 1

Nice bro! I’m always happy when I hit that 1 Framers! Nice feeling in my opinion, Rose <3
