I really loved it! Rushdown with hardly any backdashing lol. It was like a Cammy rush or something. I don’t even rush like that with Sakura.

Damn. If only I could see. Its mostly just white with some ghostly figures. Not only should the guy have zoomed in but he should have also got a better angel on the TV cos of the brightness.

I like how you record your vids live. Would be great if you could find a way to talk while playing live. That would be very very interesting. Smallfry the sim player does that. OnehandedTerror the chun/dudley player is another who does that.

i use to watch your sakura and others all the time in vanilla days cuz back then i probably used her more than any of the 3 characters i play.
ive changed my sakura style since then tho…to sucking. i need a real fireball!!
Yeah yeah. I bet you are better than me with Saks now. There was another dude who said the same thing to me, “ooh I used to look up to your Saks flowers.” Then we sparred and the kid perfected me about 5 times. Though I won overall he clearly learned more about the character than I did. I just happened to have a bit more experience with playstyles than him. Thats the only reason I won.

I’ll try to find more people that can record my matches since He’s the only person I know that records. I normally use Ultra 2 but I decided to go with ultra 1 that day to work on my blocking since U2 kinda spoiled me.

I watched the first fight but I’m not good enough to critique you. Seemed alright to me with the BnB stuff.
I’ve always been told that Sakura was trash and that I should switch to Ryu for easier wins. Maybe all the Ryu players left a tricky character cos of the same BS advice.
I was on XBL up until a few months ago. I bought two SE sticks which both broke when I tried to put in octogate. That was the last straw. I never liked xbox anyway.
I liked the fight against Guile and the combo on Bison. c.lkx3>c.lp>spiral. Thats a hard one. Close matches there. Liked the layout of the vid aswell.

Not much to say on the abel front, but i think we can all learn against the rufus match, myself included. i still dont have enough exposure vs rufus…i think i did a little better than luffy vs justin but i made my own set of mistakes in this set.
Great matches Sabin. Everyone swears that Abel is easy with Rose but I honestly feel like its close.
Couple questions vs Rufus:
Did you pick U1 as a straight counterpick to Rufus U2? If he does his U2 point blank, you can reversal U1?
Is focus backdash for Rufus’s dive kicks when hes approaching generally safe, or was that a lot of knowing how Justin plays? It worked very well.

Right now Rufus is actually my worst matchup.
abels arent hard dude, i thought when i played games vs juicebox he would own me, but it was even. Too bad he didnt learn anything from playing against me earlier that day and got caught with the same things Art was doing to him.
GG’s Sabin, good stuff. Not bad play against Rufus. I don’t really know how much better you could’ve played, other than the time you got caught Spark>FADC Fowarding into Rufus’ U2. That much, you should’ve seen he had the Ultra, and he was sitting on it, you should’ve FADC Back, and you might’ve avoided it, or at the very least, blocked it.
I honestly don’t consider Rufus my toughest matchup just because most of his toughness rests on the player and I haven’t faced tough enough Rufus’ to really worry. It basically comes when he rushes you down, can you sit there and just block it out and just wait for the tech rather than mashing it, because the problem for most is they’re so antsy and they want to use a move to get him off of them, and that gets them killed. Just take the block, wait for either a blocked Tornado or a tech to reset the position, and then basically do the strategy planned.
But you did a good job. Honestly, keep playing Rose like you did against Justin, maybe even get better, and she can be an actual alternate rather than just be the person you use early in tourneys before switching to Sim/Seth.
Sabin, your Rose played really well against Justin and Juicebox. You really took advantage of her spacing control. I do have trouble against Abel and Rufus users. For Abel specifically, his roll and command throws. I talked with a good Abel user that I faced online, and he did say that Abel had the better normals and stamina, therefore giving him a good advantage in the match-up. As for Rufus, I can’t really do well against those who pressure a lot with him, particularly his dive kick. Rose doesn’t really have a lot of wake-up options.
How does abel have better normals than rose? or u mean between abel and rufus? but off topic, i saw ur room on ranked match sksksksk222, jus didnt wanna go in because i dont want a rose mirror lol
wow those were good matches i always love seeing how rose does on the pro level and having people like you sabin trying to make her the best she can be.
and ive never faced a good rufus on xbl. they try dive kick pressure but its just not the same when watching someone like justin wong. the rufus’ ive played its like saitsu said…can you sit and block and wait for your opportunity. but thats rufus’ on xbl with 3500pp compared to justin fuckin wong.
i like how the commentator was so surprised at u1 trading with that dive kick “ive never seen that before im speechless!”…i dont hate on that guy like everyone seems to do cuz commentating aint easy but that happens all the time man!!
juicebox seemed kinda scared vs rose or maybe he was just messing up, just didnt seem like juicebox. a lot of the time he didnt go for any mix ups or anything. was this because of u2??
however the question to wong at the end…meh. who cares dude. you and luffy play rose completely different. than again maybe it was just all in good fun. either way much respect.
for abel you do know if he rolls randomly to try and get in all you have to do is throw him? st. mk is throw invul. if you do it more often in this match up than youre use to youll see him whiff his tornado throw. if abel has better normals than rose i need a new character. i think i was talking to mr flowers about it but i personally like to play abel 100% defensively and watch for how he tries to get in throwing all rolls and blocking wheel kicks and using roses better normals to get him to back off. abel is a character that scares the shit outta me if i cant stay on my feet.
bad dive kicks you can punish the others just block and then crouch tech (unless he starts dive kicking again, hits high right?) when an opening comes up youll throw him if he isnt trying to throw you. but i do it a lot and end up throwing rufus’ right after they land from their dive kick. then no more dive kicks cuz they realize it isnt working. ive faced mostly mediocre rufus tho. one was decent with 3200pp but was still pretty worthless.
@ FURY why no love for rose mirrors? am i the only rose player that likes them? whenever i find a good rose on xbl and try to invite they say the same thing “no mirrors”
