Ok So I was just watching this match and was blown away by one thing and one thing only. Its at about 3:45. WTF.

as Luffy mashes out U2 and Super (lol) Orbs take 2 hits for Hurricane and the Super takes the remaining his of hurricane and whatever’s left of the super hits Guile.
gotta love those invincible frames to do all that though. I’m sure some of it has to do with Guile’s U2 being pretty meh in this game. Renegade’s Rose vid also shows this bit cept instead of doing a super, he dashes forward getting out the hurricane. Though i’m not sure if 1 orb hits guile and the back orb takes a hit from hurricane or that’s some of the invincibility frames working.

Grand finals of my first SSFIV tourney, versus Chun. I did fairly well in the whole tourney but I need some advice against her, I was a bit clueless. Should I have used Ultra 1?
More matches of the same tourney to come, please post some criticism, I want to get good wit her.
Reflect absorb her kikoken, from a certain distance dont do a spark coz u’ll get hazanshu’d. C.mp soul spark is pretty safe against her, coz she can do EX SbK between C.Mp and spiral (he didnt know though, so u could have do c mp spiral loop forever.). You could win in the end, u had her cornered!! 
I still dont know which ultra is the best against Chun, U1 diseable her to do hazanshu and jump in, u2 to go on offensive mode. IMO u1 is good if you want to zone her, u2 is good if you want to rush her… actually I zone at the start of the round, when i have like 1/2 meter, i begin to close the distance and try to get her cornered.
I see… I’m beggining to think that U1 may actually be better for the same reasons you said. I don’t know, I think I lost because I went way to offensive, but I will try to follow your advice asap, thanks.

You can use U1 if you want to rush down too. I mean, you can’t expect to rush down the whole match, especially not after obtaining an ultra. There are certain points in rush down in which you should deliberately give the other player some space, so you can bait a possible attempt at adaptation and countering.
@ Dr.H, I recommend you use the focus system more. It’s a great counter to Hazanshu, and handy to use to build meter for U2 in this match specifically. Also good for some of Chun’s more troublesome pokes like c.HK. I think Chun vs Rose is a sort of “tag” match. You attack to get a life lead, you run away to keep the life lead. But Chun’s pokes are better than Rose’s in my opinion.
I don’t know which ultra would be better, since Chun’s LP fireball moves very slow, but she has a few slow command moves/specials also. I say pick an ultra depending on your style. I personally am liking U2 because I can use it for a defensive counter and for offensive pressure, despite no guarantee of big damage during offense.
Watched the first match vs Dudley (Marn) You gotta be a little more patient. NO trade is in your favor vs Dudley. Find a way to gain a life lead and zone that shit. Get comfortable with max range pokes. And her far mp is gdlk still so use it. Check a couple of my matches vs Shouldered and see what you think.

Metroxylon: Indeed, the lack of FA in this match was one of the reasons I lost. I’m used to play with Dictator who has a really good FA and dash, so whenever I go for Rose’s FA I may screw up a little, which is why I don’t use it too often. But yeah, it’s about time for me to adapt to Rose’s fundamentals. Will make you guys proud next time. =P
