Nice match. I’d never blow up my own orbs to get a throw on my opponent. I wait for them to get jumpy. Btw i want to play DRS’s Rose but i don’t think he has a psn. D=
- I think 2012 will be my sf swan song.
I do, but I don’t have a stick for it and I’m west coast :(.
I can deal WC vs EC on 360, but on PS3, definitely not >.>.
If you notice, I had toyed with him and tried to grab him out of his orbs for a little bit of fun :/. But I failed hard and then got beat for the first 10 seconds cuz I was a little mad that my crap didn’t work. And then I formulated my rushdown comeback :P.
Make room for the new 16 y/o crowd :o. haha jk, stay with us saqs. we respect our elders.
yay I noticed but I could just imagine how he was in his mind when he taunted you back next round XD
If psn’s connections still stay the same, i might go back to 360. They continue to get worse.
I play on 360 and unable to join A LOT of lobbies yesterday. I wish we still had the way it was back in Super…
I think they need to shut the down the SF servers for a day and do an update. i wish they had an option for EC only matches and WC only to make the connections much easier.
Is that a glitch?
We saw this in the AE location tests too, whoich made us wonder if there were certain frames where you would get hit but orbs wouldnt quit. Which would make it at least some reversal.
But after that I never saw it again
This keeps coming up but the explanation is always just buried somewhere. cut and paste with edit:
Basically, there are 3 parts to the activation:
1-startup (after ultra flash)
2-activation frame(s) (when the orbs actually become active)
3-active frames
If you’re hit anytime in part 1, orbs never appear.
Hit in part 2, you get hit and orbs DO appear, and stay.
Hit in part 3, the orbs appear, but then go away
This is all during startup before Rose can do anything (block). So there’s a tiny window the orbs will stay, sandwiched between time where the orbs will be gone.
Thanks for the info.
IT also happens when she gets focus attacked. She crumples and 1 orb will be left.

That Rose is godlike at double tapping.
which Rose ?
What’s the point of double tapping things?
Doubletapping’s similar to plinking in that it’s supposed to make links easier.
For example, a normal non-plinked, non-double tapped Rose b’nb would be cr. LP -> cr. LK -> cr. MP xx EX Spiral.
If it’s plinked it would look like cr. LP -> cr. LK -> cr. MP ~ cr. LP xx EX Spiral. Assuming you timed the plink correctly, the game would read the 1f window as 2f instead. If you timed the plink incorrectly, there’s still a chance for the cr. LP to come out which would let you combo into the EX Spiral.
if it’s double-tapped, it would look like cr. LP -> cr. LK -> cr. MP ~ cr. MP xx EX Spiral. In this case, the game also reads the 1f window as 2f instead if the double-tap is timed correctly.
Instead of hitting two different buttons to get that extra frame to link the normal, you would input that same normal twice. Same goal, different method.
Can’t say I’m sure why this Rose (ro-zutukaidesu) double-taps for specials and non-linked normals though. Apparently it’s also to make sure the moves come out but I don’t think those inputs can be messed up. Either that, or it’s just for practice.
I always double tap. Even sparks and spirals. Call it habit or mashing :smokin:
I never double tap since I’m far more comfortable with plinking. Also, need some help with learning matchups to prepare for a tourney. Posted in the matchups thread but no one’s responded yet. Help!
Yeah, I was wondering why he was double tapping for normals/specials moreso than doing it for links. I mash on my cr.hp sometimes but this guy does it for basically everything. Weird.
